I guess they can listen when they really try, or when enough people are pissed. Still, it must have taken a lot for them to ask thorin (who has always great and well-thought rankings), especially after "that" incident and the cold relationship they had with him since then. you're going to get so much subjectivity now if its based on one person. in my opinion if you're going to have person-based rankings you should at least have a panel of five or something. | ||

To his credit, that was what Thorin was proposing in his video about the subject. A panel of expert. Still, Thorin's ranking is very good. Especially compared to ESL's. Also, I don't think ESL contacted him to make a hand-crafted ranking. They want his opinion on how to improve the automatic ranking, and he had a lot of great points about that too (well, atleast on why the ESL ranking system does so bad). | ||

im slowly doing my placement matches and so far out of 12ish games i had a bunch of angry kids that screamed nonstop and then voted to kick me off a guy that shouted "I GO B,I GO A, FUCK YOU I DO WHATEVER I WANT" and 2 rounds later started shooting at his own team a 3 team of total idiots blocking doors just to molotov us, randomly sitting on eachother at the spawn and giggling over trying to do 360 jump shots (i thin k they even randomly met on the server and found that they are equaly stupid after one started the blocking...) 4 russians not speaking a single word of english that spent half the match camping on own spawn buying nothing till they had the money for an awp. a match where 2 of my team left within 5 minutes a match where 2 of the enemy team left within 10 mihutes if 50% bullshit waste of time is what i have to expect here then maybe i should just stop. im too busy to randomly waste an hour watching some kids go through their puberty. | ||

Your situation is pretty bad but it gets slightly better at higher ranks, I mean, really slightly. Depends on luck as well. I can usually only play solo queue midnight but I highly suggest you dodge those times. Haven't really paid attention to other times on which is good. I've come a long way to realize that when it's just one of those games, I just play the game. If you prefer ignore everyone but I rather have a little but of information still. Sometimes I just go ham and turn on music to relax, when it's a really unlucky day. | ||

guess ill just finish placements and then check if this continues. it is really fun when a proper match happens atleast. but sables comment really didnt exactly give me hope.. oh also does performance go into the placement evaluation? or can i go afk in the extreme cases? | ||
