God im so shit at this game. Sometimes i wish i could just play one game at Nova level or something to see how much ive actually improved since then because all i do is cuss myself out for being so bad playing vs SMFC / globals.

And i swear to god something fishy is going on with my game recently. Ive become the assist king, getting 8-10+ assists each game, if i could find a way to translate those into kills everything would be fine and dandy. Im not even sure if its my aim at this point because ive grown so paranoid that something is screwing up in the background.

Lack of confidence can go a long way, when you're having bad games you don't go for the head anymore and get lots of assists. Same goes if you get out aimed, you won't have the time to get the kill you'd usually get against someone closer to your level. Just practice being better at peeking and placement, and also try and have better crosshair placement and general aim. It'll come with practice and time!

My new hobby for this semester-break: accepting friend requests of people that I wrecked in DM/casual that add me to show of their rank to me/see mine. If they are global/something along those lines, I keep them for a while and occacionally check on their games. If they dont play much competitive but rather just have the game open a lot/play casual/DM then things start to get interesting. Just found another one who seems to always queue up with friends on lower ranked smurfs when playing competitive and always gets his ass kicked.
Todays gem: a global elite with his LEM-friends just got wrecked by a stack consisting of 1 supreme, 3 LE and 1 silver-something(most likely a smurf but anyways). His final score was 13:28, with almost all of his kills coming from eco-bashs. For some reason, it highly entertains me seeing them failing and afterwards reminding them that they forgot to delete me from their list :D

They're just boosted people, I played a global dude on my LEM smurf the other day and he was awful, terrible SMFC players are also pretty common. Pretty sure they just get carried there and stop playing after a while, so that they can show off they pretend rank to their friends.

They bombed out APM :p Legit to me, they lost hard to a team who failed to qualify for ESL and a crazy Bulgarian frag team.

But then again, I wouldn't place NIP any where near top 6. I am a huge NIP fan. I am going to Cologne this month so I really hope they get to the finals again but it's gonna need miracles above miracles. Navi or Cloud9 reaching finals would be cool. Hmm maybe Mouz.

I wouldn't mind seeing TSM and Titan added.
There's a ridiculous 800 point gap between Titan and 9th placed CLG which would justify cutting at 8, but at this stage I don't think we should take these rankings seriously.

I don't think it would've caused as much backlash if ESL didn't say it was based on some arbitrary ranking or whatever, and just invited the teams they wanted to. But then they went like "according to our rankings, TSM didn't make the cut"...

I always have been someone who constantly smurfed/changed his name and I also love different languages and alphabets so the last months I have played under a couple different names suggesting different nationalities.

The responses and racism you encounter is pretty funny and sad at the same time

Spanish name: no racism or bad remarks; some people enthusiastically spoke the 3 spanish sentences they remembered with a heavy accent
Russian name: well as expected constant racism; once I was in the middle of ukrainian-russian flame war and people were confused as fuck when I mentioned that I am german; some russians didn't comprehend that I am not fluent in russian even though I had a russian name and got mad when I didn't understand their calls
Greek name: A lot of people mistook it for russian, some recognized the lambda in the name; 2 times I got stereotypical and political remarks from germans
Persian name: First of all: Good job valve! Arab script is written from right to left and somehow your name is displayed backwards in CSGO so you need to enter it backwards in steam to have it correctly in CSGO. Everyone assumed I am arab (except 1 guy who thought it was turkish) because my name is in arab script. Pretty funny if you imagine everyone would assume you are Roman/Latin because your name is in latin script. Surprisingly no racism, just some people yelling allahu akbar when I plant the bomb.

Gonna go for hebrew next. I would expect bad stuff but I think the majority will sadly not recognize the script.
