because post counts are indicative of everything right?
27m sales in the history of the counter-strike franchise and it was the first massive international (emphasize the international part) esport ever.
I guess DayZ and EVE Online should be prioritized over CS..............

Sleeping Dogs and CS:GO today... It's a good day.

Guesstimate as to how long till Beta access will be available? I'm in Aus, where it's already 2:30pm on the 14th, is there a particular time I ought to be looking for?

Is the ranked matchmaking, "classic competitive"? Because if so that's weird. Because sometimes you join in the middle of a match.
Hope they fix that for release..

It's not about which game is better or which game is more popular, if that was the case, then Call of Duty and Angry Birds deserve their own forums.
I'm just making a wild guess here, but post count/activity in the threads probably does matter. Too many posts, and too many different discussions and topics in one thread, makes it confusing. Allowing a forum section to break things up in to different topics allow people too more easily access information or discussions. Diablo 3's 5 classes, trading etc.., League of Legends Heroes, tournaments, etc, same with Dota 2. Also the league of legends and Dota 2 communities are really active and quite large on TL, the Diablo 3 community was large, but it's basically dead now. I have no clue how big CS is on TL.
If counter strike gets a huge surge in popularity and posts, and needs multiple threads, I'm sure they will open a forum for it. No reason to complain about it until then.

CS doesn't need its own forum since TL isn't a CS site and there is nothing to discuss unlike LoL, D3, or DotA 2 where there are builds and classes / heroes.
|
the reddit thread assumed beta wouldn't unlock until 10am PST tomorrow morning.
anyone know if it'll be at midnight (1 hour from now) instead?
|
Isn't that what I said? Since that's the typical Valve release...

I do have small exception to that, people may be curious about map strategies and weapon loadouts. But you may be right.

You could make the argument for hltv.org, but esea is like a small section of the community for people with down syndrome. Add on top of that every representative for ESEA that posts there is extremely unprofessional and is only concerned with making money off of stupid players.
Gotfrag was legendary, it's really hurt the entire CS community being bought by MLG and died.
gotfrag was legendary? really?
the only thing i remember coming out of gotfrag that was positive was the articles and tournament coverage, which esea both has. the forums was a cesspool of unmoderated hate / trolling that normally always boiled down to "#1 is kayfunk" and all that bs..

Also tournaments. There are going to be lots of tournaments which will need their own threads.
