I did some research and most of the time people complain about it, but i wanted to see what you guys think. The reason i'm considering it is because imho g500 is the best mice i owned (love 3 buttons for thumb and the fact that you can quickly change dpi + it feels great in hand) and from what i've seen g500s has similar design/button placement which suit me perfectly. Main thing i'm looking for in the new mice is the 3rd thumb button. Like i said, after 7+ years of using the same setup i really don't feel like changing my habit unless i absolutely have to. What are your thoughts about g500s or some other one which you can recommend? Like the other people here are saying, the g400 is a great mouse and I recommend it. However if you don't mind the extra price and want some extra gadgets and gizmos, the logitech proteus core is pretty darn cool. It has that 3rd mouse button for your thumb, and an (allegedly) great sensor. It does have a metal scroll wheel which took a bit of getting used to, but I like it a lot. Of course if you don't want to pay literally twice the price, (I imagine most people don't) you're probably better off with the g400(s).

edit: The MX518 I'm correctly using is probably 5-6 years old and the grip padding were long gone. I think MX518 were priced around $50 on newegg, amazing price.

And I still don't believe you can redirect bullets before some evidence is shown about it, of course I might be wrong, but your link makes me even more sceptical. And your point number 1 is very good hadnt thought about that.

Yeah, sound issue is really off putting on g500s and Mx518 is impossible to get here in croatia. Besides sensei, which SS mice would you recommend? Xkcd recommended SSrival, anyone played with it? @doublemint: what is this cybermonday? Is it like once a year/month? Could you please give me some more info? :D regarding DH: i'm really sad that valve only banned 2 cheaters. There are probably more of them and i doubt that someone will get banned mid DHW and certainly not after it since it would put a stain on every result regardless who wins :/

I normally like to go to a forum and ask about the new game I am thinking of getting. However, it was pretty hard finding a decent CS GO forum. I could find the steampowered one, and my account is not yet activated after a few days of registration. The other one I could find was the steamdiscussion forum one, and on the right it simply says "Your account is not allowed to post in CS GO" Ok, leaving me with the one and only Teamliquid, so this is there I shall ask. Since I am a total beginner to CS GO, allow me to ask some questions: 1. Trading. What is this? I saw a site called CS lounge, and in it I could see a lot of trades going on. Some people even offer real money for...knives? keys? guns? I would really appreciate it if someone could explain what trading is in CS GO. 2. The concept of skins.....in a brief explanation what would this be? I play LoL and I know what skins are in LoL, but in CS GO? 3. May be a little stupid, but does reloading make any sound? If it does, surely it can give away your position. I play lots of 1.6, and not even sure if reloading makes any sound. So, in CS GO, does it make any sound? Thanks all, that is all for now. If you know of any decent CS GO forums, feel free to post it here!

well 55€ is almost the half price so if it stays that way, or even gets lower it will be an excellent deal. Thx for the info guys :D

If you have some skins you don't want/like you can trade them for other skins or, like you said, buy or sell them for real money. 2. Skins for guns. Instead of regular looking ak/any other weapon you have different skins for them (http://i.imgur.com/eURQABJ.jpg is example). It doesn't affect the game in any way, just a visual candy for people who like it. 3. I'm not 100% sure, but scoping and reloading do make sounds as far as i know.

Scoping in also makes sound that an opponent can hear.

Anyway, you are probably better off with the G400s anyway as the Mx518 only real problem is that it has angle snapping (prediction) and you have to be used to it. I don't really know about the rival but I heard its a good mouse.

2. The concept of skins.....in a brief explanation what would this be? I play LoL and I know what skins are in LoL, but in CS GO? ! skins are exactly like they are in league, purely cosmetic. in fact, they dont even change effects like many skins in league would.

It's not purely cosmetic though, it's a way to assert your dominance over others by showing that you have an absurd amount of disposable income, which inherently makes you better than other people.
