- Better recoil after 7-8th bullet - Better MM maps - Molotovs removed/restricted to 1-2 per team in MM games - More accurate/fair MM (take ping into account more?) - Allow the AWP scope commands that ESEA allows on MM servers - Maybe touch up on the movement and allow for more ease of motion, but not necessary.
If they did all of that I'd definitely consider them huge improvements, as those are the areas I think CS:Go is lacking in currently. Overall it's not as bad as I expected it to be, it's actually pretty good, but I'll probably put it down for the most part unless/until some of those issues are resolved.
as someone who also plays at that elo level, I totally agree about better maps and AWP scoping, but I have no idea where you're coming from about molotovs being too strong.
maybe I don't play enough inferno or something, but I see less than 5-6 fire nades being bought per game, on average.
I ONLY see them being bought on CT side, and I've never seen more than 2 people buying one in a round since the nerf 2 months ago.

Molotov can be really strong if CT side wins like 4-5 rounds in a row. At this point you can have quite a few people that are floating money and can afford to do molotov + smoke + 2x flash (on tournament settings). This means you can basically hold ramp room indefinitely on nuke for example, or banana on inferno, or b on dust2 etc.
Smoke lasts ~15 seconds, fire lasts ~8 seconds. Two people doing it in a row is 46 seconds of a 1:45 round. Add in 10-15 seconds of travel time to get to the site entrance and youre down to only 44 seconds and they still have 4 flashes. If you extinguish fire with smoke you just hurt yourself as a T because of how strong smokes are now.

I don't think Global Elite means much. I just got the rank myself today, and I don't consider myself to be very good. I'm probably more like Golden Eagle level. And I've played some Global Elites who are just terrible in rotation judgment or peeking for teammates (i.e. baiting). And there are some Golden Eagles who are just insanely good.
On a 2:30 round, I think molotovs are just fine. I see them as operating almost as good as a second smoke, which is pretty crucial for CT side on de_dust2, especially for the B and mid players if you're running 3 A, to buy your teammates time to rotate.
Maybe cuz I never played 1.6, but I'm fine with the recoil as it is now.
Btw, anyone have any tips on what the best way on de_dust2 a CT mid can help his B teammate out if T rushes B? Even if I start rushing over immediately when I hear a T flash go off, there will be 2-3 Ts coming out of tunnels already and I get lit up right out the door. I can't even use the door to peek cuz I'll get shot thru the door every time. I don't want to flash over, cuz that'll screw my teammate over. It seems the best thing I can do is nade thru the door to catch them rushing to B plat, and then just take position at window, which isn't even that great. (And if I peek at tuns/car, I'll get lit!)

I'm not heavily into the CS:GO scene so this is why I'm asking this.
The team that is currently Lemondogs used to have two players called nahoy and mugg, does anyone have any idea of where they went? I've googled that without any result

Lemondogs picked up a CS:GO team named BuggIT. I think they dropped their 1.6 team awhile back.

I know that Lemondogs picked up BuggIT (I'll never forget their match in E-Sport SM), and IIRC, BuggIT was a mix of Source and 1.6-players at that time. But I'm wondering why mugg and (especially) nahoy wouldn't come with them? Maybe they were the 1.6-players or something?
(I haven't watched professional CS before the match)

So when's the next big LAN tourney going to happen?

I would still consider flashing. If your teammates expect that and the T's don't, it can be really effective to counterflash while they are storming out of the tunnel. Of course you have to communicate with your colleagues at B so they don't get flashed as well.
But really, the only problem you have here is that your mates on B have to tell you sooner that it's a rush on B, then you can get on the "hole" on B sooner (the door is still not the best choice)

Unfortunately I don't have a mic :T but yeah, I guess counterflash is the best solution. I was watching some pro vids the other day and I noticed the classic setup is to just play 2 B, and let an awper from A cross call mid.
The 3A setup pros do is really interesting, they play 1 guy in deep pit to create crossfire with the A awper looking down mid, and the third A guy plays goose to create crossfire there at short. Understandably their A cross awper has to be their best player, cuz he's essentially covering 3 different entrances. But man it works really well. Only problem is that it's impossible to try and get that kind of setup in a pub mm since none of them are familiar with it.

I usually throw the nade right through the door as I start hearing shots being fired. Running up the ramp to the doors from the middle and tossing a nade should make it land on the stairs going to the boxes. Then depending if any of the CTs at B are still alive, I either flash, and peak, or try to pick people off through the window and kill the planter, if they decide to plant in an awkward spot...
In all reality at that point you are already behind, if they rushed 4 people to B, killed 2 and lost 2. You are going to be 2v1, until your A comes around, granted they dont get picked off by middle.
It's one of the things people at B have to learn how to deal with. You either have to counter-flash immediately upon arriving at B or you lose...
Imho.

I'm not very good at cs but I think covering mid from the scaffholding near the hole/window or whatever you want to call it, is the best alternative in a random ranked match

Can you explain this more? I know ESEA is a league.
Have you edited your awp scope, and if so, is it allowed (non-VAC bannable) on competitive matchmaking servers or just ESEA servers?

If anyone is sick of official match making and wants to try out ESEA, I have a week premium pass.
Just message me on steam or on TL if you're interested and will actually use it.

Valve servers updated to 128 tic
also a crazy bug where you downrank for every loss.
