The p-90 is ridiculous! I buy it when I need easy kills (when I'm getting sharded on in esea).
It reminds me of COD: Most of the players are running around with their heads cut-off and a p-90 in their hands. Pre-nade that spot then proceed to jump and shoot when you see something.
The AK-74u was far and away superior to the P90 in CoD 4 :D
Yes there were "better" guns.. my point is not that the p-90 is too powerful... but rather its just too easy to use and resembles the p90 in COD.
I guess my real point is shoot+jump and run+shoot is too accurate or not enough recoil with p90
Is there any consensus on how good the game looks in a competitive setting? Or is it too young for pros to really give good opinions? I've been wondering if 1.6 purists have given it a fair shake. Are custom maps getting proliferated a bit by this point? It's a huge selling point for me to play custom maps with friends (scout knives/those maps where you climbed up things that had really hard jumps to make etc).
Only grand finals worth watching imo. Semis were decent if u want more.
Atm only big tournament is DH. ESWC should be the next one.
:o u were looking for demos. Demos not working currently.
Demos aren't working? Are you serious?
Thanks for the links anyway.

I played CS v1.6 competitively and never played source. I'd say cs:go is quite go as an esports game. The only thing I don't like for a esports game is the top bar. It's totally redundant to show everyone's avatar there. Tab is good enough to get info of who's alive. And the different colors from everyone's avatar make it hard to really see who's alive from there in a quick glance. They should have only added it to the spectacle view.
Maps and guns are well made for match (They may tweak a little for more balance in future though). And I really like the new radar, it gives you really good info and makes the game not only a shooting game but also to think more about the situation during your play.
Things negative as a game are :1. Still many bugs. (I have encountered many) 2. You should really understand many complicated settings of the game to adjust your config to best suit for you. I set net_graph on to read the status of every current server I'm playing so as to adjust accordingly every time I join a new server. 3. Bad support. (Official forum is shit.)
Setting your rates to maximum will auto-adjust when you join servers.
I do agree though, the UI is awful. UI's in most games are awful. I don't understand, everyone basically drives a car, all the important information is consolidated into one useful place, with 2-3 other places to check when necessary (radar, etc.)
That silly bar with the avatars and score should've been placed on the bottom center, really. Or keep the score in center top, but avatar bar on bottom center. Eh.
And no, no demos yet! I'm enjoying the ability to keep our strats/nades and boosts totally secret for now though >:D
Not that I think anyone even likes my stream, but I'll probably be streaming more often in the near future, I had to stop during our inferno and aztec match weeks because I know some people watch my stream to strat snipe We worked our asses off this week and 16-0'ing a team that was predicted to beat us bad feels really good! How's everyone GO experience going so far? Do we have many people in ESEA frequenting here?

Thanks for clearing this thing up. I have never understood why sometimes I couldn't change the value... I watched your stream a little I noticed that your lerp value is in orange. I had it in orange too before. Then I found that if I change cl_inter_ratio from 1 to 2. It goes to white. And I feel pretty good so far.
Just to let you guys know that Starting October 1st, there is going to be $10K in prizing up for grabs on Gamebattles for CS:GO, so stay tuned for more information as I will keep you guys updated

ignore the colors, i'm 99% sure they are related to server settings (I believe white means you are matching the server setting, anything else means you're over it X amount but it's matching it for you.. something like that). The settings you probably want to use is what I have below. If a server is running less rate/cmdrate/updaterate than these it will auto cap itself. The best servers will be 128tick and the settings below will fit that, you don't want to limit yourself to less.
I don't get why they couldn't get a proper match making system working. They have managed to in games like dota so why couldn't they get it working here ? ATM if you have 5 ppl in a party and queueing for a game you get put into a random pub game. wth.

Interesting to know about this aswell. If this game had a matchmaker à la League of Legends where in Ranked you can't leave etc., I would be playing the fuck out of this game.

Here's a video explaining what's "lerp", though I still don't quite get it yet. :p
