if i do coc on my wand, my wand does fire damage, I CoC out a cold spell i have elemental equilibrium i attack, and immediately crit and proc the cold spell, on the first hit. is the cold and the fire together, or do i get the -50 resist for my cold? | ||

HOWEVER CoC means that you will be casting spells brutally rapidly and of course after the first cast the enemies will be cold resistant again so you will lose overall damage despite your first hit being boosted. | ||

so if your big numbers are from cold anyways shouldn't EE always be proccing for the cold? | ||

the instant that you hit a monster with an attack the game looks at what you hit it with and creates the new resists for the monster. Assume that you hit it with only fire, the monster is now vulnerable to lightning/cold and extra strong to fire. If you are for instance an elemental cleaver or something and attack with fire and lightning at the same time the monster is going to only be vulnerable to cold. It creates the EE effect on each hit done to the monster. There are no lingering effects to it as far as I know. | ||

How many casts of whatever skill we are referring to do you get per crit? Using Split-arrow + Chain I could get 18 casts per crit (highly unlikely but you get the idea) so after the first cast, all the successive ones would be damage nerfed before I could re-proc EE. However, good to hear how it works. And yeah auras fuck things. | ||

Lots of people use EE, but it is incredibly irritating to gear for it on weapon attacks. Pretty much any trap or spell build will use EE because -50 resistance is really strong and easy to take advantage of in such a situation, especially for fire based builds proliferating ignites. | ||

So when you are hitting 5-6 enemies you are either critting against all of them or critting against none of them. Also, what are you using to gain power charges? PCoC or Volls chest? If you are using PCoC you will only get 1 power charge per cyclone, where as with Volls chest you will gain a charge for every single enemy you hit during a crit. Basically you want to keep your cursor extremely close to your character and just direct them in the area that you want to go, holding down cyclone, this means that you will have more opportunities to crit and it will reduce your desync. The delay on your discharges is most likely desync, but its hard to tell with just your description of it. Edit: I thought I was on the most recent page, and I wasnt. oops | ||

i literally just randomly cyclone over and over and nothing happens on my screen, enemies are just everywhere not moving then boom like 2 seconds later 3 screens worth of enemies will blow up | ||
