Generally-speaking mid-late-game it doesn't matter at all whether you pick templar or witch, because the nodes are so close and so similar that it hardly matters, and like 90% of builds that have any overlap whatsoever will traverse identical nodes. It's essentially, as said by Blitz, just the appearance, quest rewards, and how you want to level early. For example with witch the easiest way to level is to grab SpOrk or LA, while with Templar it's usually easier to go Mace+Shield and just bash shit. | ||

I think people usually prefer getting at least either resists or str (via onyx) on casters. Otherwise the stats look good... so that's my guess, anyways. | ||
