It's got a cool setting, but the goals feel very aimless at the moment (find this, go here, etc, for no memorable reason). If you liked Bioshock, keep playing. Or if you like a really good story. Gameplay wise it's pretty standard, and definitely not the reason one would want to play Bioshock Infinite.

The best part of infinite is the unique atmosphere and great looking scenic views the game throws at you. The game play is actually worse than previous titles. I have no idea why they made the gameplay focus on a more call of duty esque on rails shooter using sloppier bioshock shooting that was really meant for rpg-system shock, pick your own route sorta stuff. Wow did that gave have some amazing vistas though.

Some of the set pieces are nice, but on the whole I never really enjoyed what I was playing as much as I was exploring. It's a shame really, the backdrops and ideas they had are good, just so blandly implemented.

The Bioshock games are supremely overrated and I think it's mostly by people who don't care that the games are shallow as hell. The stories may be cool, but the gameplay is consistently shit. I would prefer it if they were done in another genre other than FPS. Maybe pure RPG or something.

A lot of people like it, enough people don't like it. It is not overrated by anyone who loves the game. You apparently don't love it, maybe you love something else which is not necessarily overated.

Bioshock 1 is still one of the best Games of the last 10 years. Bioshock is not so much about the Gamplay, the great part are the settings, the characters and the whole backgroundstory.

Also Elisabeth is one of those characters where i got really attached to. Similar to the Last of Us and Ellie (i watched like 3 playthroughs because i dont have a PS3) But i guess its like scifi movies or stories, either you like the idea and implications of paralell unviserses / time travel or you just hate it :p

I have Deux Ex 3 the original copy but i dont have the Missing Link DLC. Is it worth spending $5 on the directors cut?
