The main thing to note is that the Steam version already comes fixed with the official updates or so I hear. Outside of that most folks including myself would recommend using the NAM-Network Addon Mod. This is a big fix to traffic and roads. It also includes new transportation pieces to really flesh your city out. Outside of that the sky is the limit as far as mods go. Do be careful since some mods don't play nice with each other all the time. Here is a link that can get you started on things. | ||

It's rare for titles to go on sale immediately after release, and they already clarified that BNW going on sale briefly earlier was a mistake and apologized by crediting everyone who preordered with a copy of Civ IV. I would say $40 for the up-to-date Civ 5 with Brave New World is definitely worth it, but I've sunk over 100 hours into the game. | ||
