I will try it out this weekend but I doubt playing it will make it look better. Seems pretty much comparable with Source (expecially the mindset behind it). And 1.6 was worse than 1.3 yet everyone is all over 1.6 being the best. Aside from some odd balance changes (looking at you deagle) it's much better than source.

It looks a lot like Dishonored which was really fun. You can already get them for that cheap. Fair warning, though - it's absolutely nothing like Dishonored outside of being first-person.

But I agree that GO is really good and valve is the best developer in PC gaming right now. They've fixed SO MUCH since launch

Not to mention they added a bit more variety to the gun selection for competitive play with 1.6. It wasn't just mp5, ak, m4, and awp.

The only thing I heared a lot was 1.5>1.6. Probably 1/3 of the discussions were 1.5>1.6, 2/3 the other way around. I honestly don't know which game is truly better but 1.6 deserves the place it is in (that doesn't mean that 1.5 and 1.3 wouldn't deserve that place, too. I personally think they don't get the recognition because competetive esports evolved/grew a little bit later because of the technic).

Of course the combat is a bit worse, but at least it has still some RPG-Elements. Finding and customizing your Weapons/Armor is alot of fun. I have no idea why they removed this. ME2 would so much better with the RPG-Elements of ME1. ME2 is obviously still the better Game, because it has much more content. I just played ME1 through and have 30hrs of time in my ME2 playthrough, so I know what I'm talking about.

I disagree, I personally don't feel like the RPG elements added anything to ME1 and was just a nuicance "Oh, there's enemies of type X here, lets switch ammo to type Y which is more effective against them". "Oh my HP is low, let's switch to the regen module for a while". About as fun as switching cards between deck and sideboard in magic. That said, it was sad that the RPG element was diminished in ME2. Instead of removing it they should have created a new system so we could have actual depth.

And this switching between Weapons for different opponents is still the same. In ME2 I have used the same weapon from start to finish, in ME1 I always looked for the Weapon with most DPS/Sockets and that was way more fun. How many vendors I searched to find a Good Armor for my Warden in ME1... in ME2 you just use the same gear from start to finish - thats even terrible for a Shooter. At least I play a Expert now in ME2, so who cares about Weapons/Armor. ^o^

And who the fuck plays Mass Effect for the Gameplay??? Whats wrong with you?! Mass Effect has terrible gameplay/combat in all three games. Its like Bioshock - all about the story, characters!

Mass Effect has terrible gameplay/combat in all three games. Its like Bioshock - all about the story, characters! The combat was terrible in ME1, not so for ME2 (haven't played three yet myself). Bioshock also has fun gameplay, and often times it can be quite intense. I'm thinking of some of the "revolution" sections during Infinite where you're zip lining all over the place while ships explode and rockets are flying everywhere. That said, I do agree that the story and characters are the main draws to both games, but saying the gameplay is throwaway is underselling the two series.
