Even if you are good good at 4x games and know the galciv mechanics, it will take a LONG LONG TEDIOUS time to beat some missions. (the reason is that they changed it so that no battle can be a draw. So the super alien race that appears has stupid amounts of firepower, but their chips are vulnerable. With the no draw change, you can just fight them with suicide because in a draw the firepower determines the winner, and the winner will survive with 1 hitpoit. So to actually kill them you have to build fleets with more ships in them than the alians have guns in their fleet. and that fleet will lose all but one ship every time you do combat.) soo....dont do the first campaign. | ||
