I really recommend it if you don't care about graphics

One of the best tactical RPG series ever. However Jagged Alliance Back in Action is not Jagged Alliance, it's piece of crap which is trying to ride on nostalgia using that name, do NOT buy this game. Much like the new "Syndicate" devs are trying to use old game names(great games) again today to milk on some nostalgia.

Sorry, I probably don't know the old Jagged Alliance and I'm talking about the one currently on sale.

Anyhow, I'm looking for a multiplayer game that is set in space...and I'm having a really hard time deciding on what one to buy. I don't know exactly what I'm looking for, but I want one that is based in Space and has a pretty good player base. How is Sins of a Solar Empire?

What kind of multiplayer? I played the sickest FPS game in Space called Shattered Horizon. Only bots play now, but it was by far the best game ever for me.

I remember that game. Made by the same people behind the futuremark benchmark, yea? Was quite surprised at the quality of the game considering it was only really seen as a tech demo.

Just really being able to connect over the internet to play with other people. Against other people/AI doesn't matter to me.
Endless space looked cool until I read that it has Rock-Paper-Scissors combat

Yeah same people. The game was incredibly sophsticated and smart, but they forced people to use vista or up at a time that it was in-between vista and XP.
Sunk like a dead ship T_T

I have had sins of a solar empire trinity for a while; it's sort of a hybrid RTS/4x Strategy game. By hybrid I mean it is real time, and has a lot of 4x elements, but at the end of the day you usually use those assets to win via conquest. The capitol ship system is also quite intresting, you "level up" you capitol ships, they are almost like warcraft III heroes--the only difference is you won't be doing a lot of micro management with them, in fact the game has a lot of automation--you can do some micro, but it is not incredibly important. The multi-player is fun, especially with friends. Though as I look right now, there are only about 100 people online, and only 4 games I can join; sadly most of these games you can't really join; because they either have passwords or have "friend only" slots. So if you really want to have a lot of fun with the game, past fighting the AI (which can still be fun, especially if you are learning; that's usually what I do, just because I have no one to play with), you'd want to get a group of friends to play with.

They are constantly patching and improving the game, I wouldn't buy it now but keep an eye on it, if you can later on get the improved version with improved combat (the dev team has noted that they are going to work on it), especially if it's 20+% off it might definitely be worth it, the game looks amazing besides the combat.
And talking about 4x games, GalCiv 2 Ultimate Edition for 3.74 € seems to be the sickest deal of the steam summer sale so far. I played Master of Orion 2 years ago and loved it to death, and GalCiv looks way better than that so it's a no-brainer for me.
I just finished Metro 2033, disappointingly short (~10 hours) and easy game for me (on hardcore difficulty). But it was only 2,50 so I can't complain too much with that price ^^

i feel like this entire sale <<<< last years sale

Any opinions on the Double Fine Bundle? I wouldn't mind Psychonauts but I don't know about the other two games.

How so? I don't remember it being much different.

The problem isn't the sale, the problem is there are no great games released this year. Wintersale was nice, because I got Portal2 for free. But other than that I bought nothing.
