Don't wait.
(Cuz this deal is great already and its unlikely anything better will come up sadly :/)

It is unlikely, but there's always a chance. I am sure there have been quite a few plesant surprises in Steam Sales before.

Buy now.
Now now now, because Skyrim at less than forty dollars is an absurdly good deal what with all the content that you get.

Orcs must die worth it? Seems like Dungeon Defenders and I liked that one.

Can't go wrong with that price imo

Yeah I saw good things from Orcs, I think that is a great deal.

The only thing that is drawing me back from getting this game is the gameplay mechanics. It seems like to fight enemies you have to press for example "a" and your character does a "move" and you only have a few moves that you can do. Kind of like Dragon Age/WoW/Star Wars MMO. Is the story/rpg elements of it so good that I should just shrugg off a combat system like that?

The game pauses if you enter combat. Like in Dragon Age: Origins and you can queue up spells. But the game isn't that good because of its combat. If you want good combat play Kingdoms of Amalur or Darksiders, KotOR is about great story, great characters and choices in a awesome star wars scenario.
KotOR is #1 on my all-time favorite games.
#ProTip Google a Widescreen-Resolution Fix for the game, because last time I played it you couldn't play it in 1920x1080 and it looks alot better in that resolution.

I would pick up Kotor but I could never get it to run good on windows 7.

just buy the whole bethesda pack for $50 i fuckin swear its a huge steal.

btw, kotor has the same combat system that neverwinternights had, its D&D ruleset in starwars universe. This also means its very similar to baldurs gate if you have played that one.
Can someone please report how long the Ys games take to play trough?

It really is Fallout NV + all DLC in that pack that is amazing and Skyrim of course. Brink has gotten better but it still is a mash up of very badly done but awesome concepts and Hunted is ok I haven't played it.
Beware though Ultimate F:NV might go on sale for 75% also so it might be cheaper to buy skyrim and F:NV if that is all that interest you, if you like brink or Hunted though go for it.

I sincerely recommend the Penumbra Collector Pack and Legend of Grimrock. Penumbra is in some ways even better than Amnesia and Legend of Grimrock will soon have its own Dungeon Editor.
|
Looks like Kotor and Borderlands are too good for me to pass up!

anyone tried Ys origin? is it worth picking up for 60% off?

Yeah I would get Fallout and Skyrim. I have over 30 hours to wait so no need to rush. In 10 hrs the whole flash deal section resets and 4 hrs from now the community deal resets too.

I loved tropico 1 and 2, but not so much on 4. It's a city builder with you as a president/dictator/pirate. For 1, The outside "threat" is the great powers, which you can allign yourself with. The inside "threat" is the rebels. There isn't much you can do about actual combat (outside threat beats you, unless you are alligned with a different one). For 2, it focuses on geting captives and keeping your pirates happy.

So can someone tell me if the Orcs must Die GotY(2dlcs) is worth it?
|
What's Ys: Origin? Is that any good? Worth 8 bucks?
EDIT: On July 15 2012 03:47 DongLongJohnson wrote: So can someone tell me if the Orcs must Die GotY is worth it?
For 3 bucks? Yeah, I'd say so. I picked up in an earlier sale (think it was Christmas) for like 5 bucks and I thought it was worth it.
