This game should be bought at gog.com. The site is owned by CD Project so the money goes directly to them and they have been proving time and time again that they deserve to be rewarded by the pc gaming community.

Also if you are from Europe you get 16$ worth of games (2 games) for free if you buy it there, just for being handsome.

And yes, if you buy this from gog.com you get enough karma points to get the next mass effect and dragon age from the yarr-sites without becoming chaotic evil.

Yes, please buy The Witcher 2 and don't pirate it. CDPR and Gog.com are doing so much to advance the cause of PC gamers, doing EXACTLY what we have asked game companies to do. They totally deserve to be supported.

I dont like digital games much. I'm sorry for CD Projekt but I really dont want to buy this on GOG.
I have 150+ games in my Steam account but I bought all of them in discount. So that doesn't count.
I kinda love the boxes on the shelf. Just to see them.

I bought the CE version anyway.

That happends to all games that they are out on file sharing sites a few days before official release date, however that dosent mean you can play the game if you download it since it got protection that needs to be cracked first.

The fastest way to play this game is to buy it.

Wasn't going to buy until I saw more reviews, but I saw this on gog.com "DRM FREE Digital Premium Edition!"

Bought it.

If D2D didn't offer it for $12 off ($33 instead of $45) then I would have in a heart beat. But since D2D isn't anymore, I'll gladly second this - right now (and hopefully for a long time to come) they know how to cater and treat their customer base.

Even if some other sight is offering it for 95% off you should still buy it from GoG, CDP does ALOT for us, doesn't really hurt us to sink an extra $10 into them...

It matters when you lose your job (in a certain depression, as I did) and have few luxuries, like extra cash ;} Not that I mean to give you a sob story, but the $12 is a considerable difference to my situation.

Trust me, I would have liked to have avoided the DRM.

Stoked for this game. Just hope that pirating isn't too rampant. The same people that pirate this will be the ones complaining in the future that not enough games are developed for the PC.

One would imagine that you'd not want to spend any money if you've lost your job and funnel it towards finding another job?

Just to be sure: Is there no another way of buying the box version game from GOG or similarly so the money goes directly to CDP RED? I'm to big of a fan of traditional game releases, but after I read, what you've written I wish to find a way to support my new favourite game developer as much as I possibly can. I hope there is a possibility of doing both.
