What do you think, can it handle BF3 atleast with lowest graphs but highest resolution?
Did you play BFBC with that pc? pretty much same system requirements.
I'd say you can run it with at least medium and highest reso.

Yes Grettin, it runs smooth as it gets no real lagging;o but I guess there will be some more lag since BC2 has 32player limit and BF3 64, but thanks for help !

Still no beta launch date, but someone catched this tweet earlier today:

So Beta should be starting _EARLY_ September, but no dates yet.

All versions of BF3 (or at least the retail versions) will require Origin
This is also likely the reason there's no Steam release
Really blatant foot-in-the-door marketing from EA, Origin adds fuck-all to the game. This is a shitty move

Seems strange to me. Games downloaded through Origin don't actually require Origin to run (in fact, from what I understand, you can DL a game from Origin, uninstall the client, and still be able to play the game just fine.)
If they change this solely for BF3, then I agree it's a pretty dick move. Pulling the game from Steam isn't something I agree with but it's at least understandable- it's the best way to get people to download and try their client who otherwise wouldn't have. But if they force you to install/run Origin for BF3 when you don't need to for any other Origin games, I'd be pretty disappointed.

Thats right, i downloaded my copy of BFBC2 from Origin, played a game or two, exited, unistalled origin (cuz im a clean freak!) and been playing perfectly fine since. If i have to have an extra app running in the background on my shitty PC while playing BF3, il be pissed, one reason i hate steam, sure it doesnt take a ridiculous amount of memory, but not all of us have 8gb of ram and a core i7.

Yeah I heard about Student discounts for Windows 7 but I also have to upgrade my core and stuff.
Cause I'm running a 3.6ghz Single Core (Old as hell i no haha), 2GB Ram and a 250GTS XFX Card. . I'm poor. I'm in college surviving off Financial aid and loans >_<

Well, you just gotta stop eating for a couple of months, no drinking either and you got money for a new pc!

get Windows 7. It's really not as bad as people say. In fact, it's good even. Compared to the trash Vista was, it's almost great.
Don't buy FPS for consoles. You WILL regret not getting the game for a PC.

And to add: if you want to play games on PC in the future, i suggest to switch because more and more games will require Win7.

Let's not get crazy, people. Steam has a very similar clause. In fact, they can legally take your games away from you any time they want- even 10 minutes after you buy them!
But it doesn't happen. The above mentioned clause has been part of the EA DL Manager for years, but I doubt you can find a single person who has had to rebuy games. I bought Spore the day it game out, played it for 2 months, never touched it again. I just installed Origin yesterday (They finally got me with that sale where you were able to get Battlefield games/Mirror's Edge for $5) and guess what? There was Spore, available for DL, even though I haven't touched it or even used my EA account in 3 years.
I'm not supporting Origin or shitting on Steam, but like anything I think Origin deserves to be looked at objectively, and nitpicking about legal babble and such is just kind of silly.

Why's everyone hating on BF3 not being in Steam. Steam has the ability to take games on your comp and put them in Steam. You can still run Steam with BF3 in all of Steam's glory, just no purchase through Steam now.

Actually Vista isn't even that bad after SP2. Also is it true there's no way to disable auto-arrange in Windows 7 (in folders). Click. Hmm I wonder why they keep taking things out >.<.
I'm still using good old Vista (AKA actually the beta for 7 since 7 was actually in development before Vista but Vista came out first).
Though yeah I'd recommend Windows 7 (It'll have longer support/update life than Vista).

Ah I thought you were just one of those people that refuses for whatever reason . With a not so great pc would be better to get it for console anyway if you can't afford to upgrade T_T. Sucks though for you.

EA downloader and EA link were tremendously shitty. Really not worth white knighting
