OT: Anyone else very frustrated with trying to lvl up recon? I lvl'd support all the way and I'm slowly finish off the other 3 classes and it feels like recon is gonna be a pain in the ass fighting other snipers who have the WAY better guns/scopes. It seems I can't fight them at all and I'm forced to slowly pick noobs off and unlock the real items before I can even be useful to my team.

Once you unlock the sv98 you can long range snipe (all 3 bolt actions 1 shot kill in the head, thats all you need). Alternatively, you dont have to snipe with recon, you can run around with the PDW-R + laser sight (insane combo) and smash people!

use the M39 EMR from Co-op... it takes a day or so to get but DAAMN is it just straight up better than the snipers before the SV98.

Ya I'm just waiting to get away from the starting rifles and get to the bolt action ones. Can't really kill people otherwise imo. Just got my first epic HS, 320m on Firestorm lol.

I will probably never touch single player or Co-op mode in this game. I came here for the multiplayer. It's called just playing. I'd advise you to not mention "prestige" in the company of BF fans or you will incite a riot/flame war between the 2 games.

and as a side-note to you: do not play campaign, even if your internet is shitty (like mine was... just barely able to log into the campaign and beat it in like 4 hours)... it's bad.
the heli co-op mission imo is the only fun one and it's unlocked right away ( in case you ever want to try it out)

Lol so far I'd have to agree with you. 1942 was my fav BF by far but this is pretty fun and didn't entirely dissapoint. The server, lag, hacking, issues are the only thing that has tainted my experience so far.

Just look at the way the maps are designed, most of them are crammed in close to get action going (aka spam). The power of vehicles is massively reduced compared to BF2 because the casuals need their hand held. Just like bc2, where tracer darts and slow as shit vehicles with low skill ceilings made it a game of infantry.

auto laser designates vehicles so that laser-guided weapons auto target them. useful in maps like tehran highway. US sets up a few soflams in their highground overlooking A and all of left side, the laser paint any vehicles coming into the A (back street?) zone, spam the rocket mount for easy kills.

Hey check it out guys, more fucking maintenance :D I bet as soon as its done nothing will be any better, I still get dropped from games and have all the same issues, even flickering on Metro the few times I played it passed few days. Having a lot of fun but jesus these guys need to get there stuff together, maintenance every night with few changes...getting old. Some have mentioned the game is like BF2 or BC2 and I'd say (since been playing since BF1942 up till now, skipped 2142 though lol) that its much more like Bad Company 2 than BF2. Although old as hell you wouldn't ever play BF2 and confuse it at all for BC2 and its pretty much the same thing, small ass maps that are mainly shit (luckily BtK expansion is all proven maps so I doubt they could mess them up) and weapons that make stuff a bit more infantry than team based objective play.
Not that I don't love BF3 since I've put in 85 hours since release. Its insanely fun but the maps are so fucking bad lol Caspian is almost all I play on, its perfect I think. Sadly my mine tactics are starting to fail since everyone has infrared for the tanks, makes me sad because that was my main source of points/fun. I'd like to learn how to snipe but seem to be stuck using infrared on UMP and SCAR, more of a crutch than a helping hand. I can't shoot anything without infrared now lol. Would have been nice for them to focus on large maps but most of them seem very CoD'ish, I don't like closed ass maps, especially after they lied by saying these maps would be twice the playable size as BC2 maps. Straight up lie, just like saying it was made for PC all the way, six months into dev. they made it console based.
