After hours of spawn raping the enemy jets Im about 1000 points away from the laser guided air to ground missles. That means I can actually go and contribute to the team by taking out tanks!

Such a stupid ridiculous system based off the WoW "grind for even the smallest things" style

herpderp machine gun vs homing missile

238942934 shots required to kill with standard gun, 1 missile to instantly fuck u up

it genuinely made me rage

every1 and their mothers has missiles now, this is what happens when i couldn't play for 2 days~, conveniently since the re-release of caspian

i avoid planes like the plague; i feel bad when there's a big line for the jet and i take it and i suicide crash upon takeoff. doesn't help that everyone in line makes fun of your jet skills.

however, i feel like jets are useless unless theyre going around sniping helicopters and other jets. its rare that i see a jet take out an armored land vehicle or infantry.

I suppose missles are the great equaliser, but anyone who was decent with the BF2 jets will be shredding the opponents just with the machine gun thanks to client side rego. Not having a rear view is kind of wierd, means you can sneak up on an opponent and then destroy him with the MG.

makes everything so much easier lol
i do enjoy jets tho, even if they feel a bit slow

stingers do feel a bit op tho

I dont have a problem with stingers, you pop flares and then fly away/up. Sometimes a missle will glitch through flares and you will take damage, that only takes you down to 59% i think. If that happens just fly around near the edge of the map to regen your vehicle health (lol). The only time a stinger has killed me is when i was strafing the enemy airway and i flew headlong into a stinger, which glitched through the hitbox of the plane and hit me instead

Just ordered new motherboard, the i5-2500k and 8 gigs of ddr3 ram oh baby can't wait to test it when this game comes out :D

Stopped playing beta (played yesterday on caspian) until game comes out now. Can't wait so stoked

Anyone else having problems setting their joystick up? I have an MS Sidewinder (yeah it's ancient but it worked fine with BF2 and BC2) and even after setting the controls (though it was quite a chore as the menu is buggy as shit, also some controls have multiple entries like "Roll right") I got into a jet, cranked the throttle, pulled up on the stick and... proceeded to veer off and crash into a tree. Just wondering if its something unavailable in the beta or the stick itself.

Yeah, I had tons of trouble with the controls as well (using a really old Logitech Wingman Force 3D). Default controls don't seem to be set correctly ingame.

8 gigs is a bit of an overkill but make sure to overclock the 2500k.

After playing Caspian Border a few times I can say: I hate playing on that fucking map. Everyone's running around doing nothing, there's at least one hacker every second game and 80% play engineer but for some reason don't attack vehicles. -_-
