Also on the subject above. People aren't working in squads yet due to the crap squad system. Not to mention nearly half the team are always jet camping.
Oh and I really feel like not having a commander is hurting the game. In BF2 a good commander would set squads to attack different locations and would basically dictate the tactical side of things.
Another problem is that the minimap/full map currently suck. It is really hard to get a good overview of what is happening in game. Where the fronts are, which control points are controlled by which team, the overall layout of the map etc. It can be really hard to help your team effectively on a larger scale when it is so hard to judge the game situation quickly. It is also hard to learn a large map without being able to view all of it at once.

It's just people running around with no cohesion and fighting in 1 on 1 situations or little skirmishes.
There's also almost no destructible objects, just trees everywhere. Compared to BC2 where everywhere I go I could blast a hole in a wall if I didn't feel like using the door it just feels lacking.
I wish the map was designed to create some sort of front or some cap point that gives good strategic control instead of this run around whack a mole gameplay
I think some of this is because Conquest and large maps in general don't make great pub games. Most players are just way too passive. Others are completely oblivious to the fact that vehicles can hold more than one person, and that you should probably pick up some of your teammates before you drive off with the jeep. FML...
A huge, open map like Caspian requires an actual strategy and organized teams who are on ventrilo/teamspeak together. Once organized clans get up and rolling this map will play like it's supposed to play.
It will improve, however the map layout seems to be just bad As far as i could see it goes something like this

That just leaves it to going crazy over the 4 cap points in the middle where everyone can go any direction. Also, even it the map was well designed it will always feel like random encounters because we dont have a freaking map. Thats my biggest issue. Imagine hardcore mode in BC2 without a map. wtf. With all the improvements already made to the retail game, is there any info on the map and performance?
Also, wtf is up with the helicopter physics I cant grasp it, it seems like its designed to be easy on the new players by making it near impossible to do any stunts (and by that I mean very basic things) that could throw you off course. I hope its better on the joystick, time to dig it up.

I think they had to dumb down chopper controls for consoles. There's really no way a controller can utilize the chopper to it's fullest extent like we can.
The air unlock system is straight up stupid. The people who already have flares and missiles ALWAYS destroy those who don't, and it's almost impossible to dodge stingers without flares, and pretty much everybody has stingers unlocked. Also, the helicopter seems really slow and sluggish to me.
They really need to fix the bullshit of being able to shoot through rocks. Hiding behind fucking mountains shooting RPG on tanks and ducking down to reload and still dying to the machine gun lulzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Aka, Client-side bullet registration... versus the server-side of other games (aka, most if not all other games)

i don't know if that's the case with some rocks, because as a sniper, i usually spot people behind rocks using Q, and just shoot right through the rocks. On my side, i hit rock, and i still get the kill.
This only happens when their head is max 4in below the rock, as any lower, the hit box of the rock kicks in, but i just think there is an issue with the mesh. This also may just be part of the "armor piercing" game code, as bullets can still go through some metal barriers if they are high enough caliber.
It's really frustrating trying to fly a jet against people who already have the missiles for the jet. Like I can't even get off the runway before their locking onto me and blowing me out of the sky.
