A lot of the lag problems come from the new drivers. If you DLed the new drivers there has been a lot of issues, old ones even though it says not to run much better, or at least they do for me

And for jets its probably worse, no missles/flares for a newb, and someone who has played before has unlocked missles and flares, which means the newbies get slaughtered. And because DICE gave these jets no bombs and the main cannon is weak on land vehicles, all you can do until you unlock laser guided missles for land vehicles, which is deep in the jet level unlocks, is to spawn rape the enemy jets and helicopters so you get enough points. I think I may have cancelled at least 10 pre orders today with my spawn raping in the jet :/

I found a link on Battle Log's forums that helped fix my problem. Yeah, I was playing Caspian Border with a full server and my PC ran fine on highest that beta allows (2500K stock and GTX 570).

I have to say I am not really enjoying Caspian. I don't get the feeling like I am in a battlefield, it's just random enemies all over the place. Some guy being behind me with a sniper rifle is as likely as someone being in front of me defending the point I am going to capture. It's just people running around with no cohesion and fighting in 1 on 1 situations or little skirmishes. There's also almost no destructible objects, just trees everywhere. Compared to BC2 where everywhere I go I could blast a hole in a wall if I didn't feel like using the door it just feels lacking. I wish the map was designed to create some sort of front or some cap point that gives good strategic control instead of this run around whack a mole gameplay

In Battlelog, it just keeps saying "Matchmaking..." whenever I press the quick match button. Anyone else experienced this or found a fix? Try joining a server directly from the server list instead.

Most players are just way too passive. Others are completely oblivious to the fact that vehicles can hold more than one person, and that you should probably pick up some of your teammates before you drive off with the jeep. FML... A huge, open map like Caspian requires an actual strategy and organized teams who are on ventrilo/teamspeak together. Once organized clans get up and rolling this map will play like it's supposed to play.

I wish the map was designed to create some sort of front or some cap point that gives good strategic control instead of this run around whack a mole gameplay I think the reason the map feels so random is because people don't know the map well yet. Once you learn the map and have a good idea of which control points belong to you and which belong to your opponent it will be much easier to judge which routes the enemy will most likely take towards you. It will be much easier to stop him from flanking you. Conquest generally has a much more complex pattern of fronts though so you will never have the situation like in rush where there is always just one front. If you are defending a control point near your opponents home base you will have to expect attacks from all directions. Just getting three friends and playing as a squad, working together to attack/defend one control point can improve the game a lot. You don't necessarily need to get a clan of 32 people in order to enjoy conquest on large maps.

Also on the subject above. People aren't working in squads yet due to the crap squad system. Not to mention nearly half the team are always jet camping. Oh and I really feel like not having a commander is hurting the game. In BF2 a good commander would set squads to attack different locations and would basically dictate the tactical side of things.
