Guys I have a question. Please do help me out.
A friend of mine gave me access to his steam account and it has a Skyrim on it. Now, I want to ask you guys if my rig will be able to play the game. I plan on buying a cheap video card for it, too. So before I buy the VGA, will Skyrim run on my PC?
I have:
Processor :AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.7Ghz Memory :2048MB Hard Disk :ExcelStor Technology J8160S (160GB)
Now, The only available VGA in my local store that I can afford is a GeForce GT 430 1024MB http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gt-430-review/1
Now is this a good VGA? I just want to play in a low setting as much as possible. Will this get good FPS?
Please, I really need help.

Already downloading but like I said, I'm planning on buying a video card. I'm currently running on the on-board video card and I'm fairly sure this won't cut it.

call graphics card a "VGA" @_@
Your computer is like...scraping the minimum system reqs, even with the graphics card. Best bet is to give it a shot and hope for the best.

Yeah this is pretty old. I only play it for BW for the last 5 months.

Who do you guys think is the best overall follower?
Currently I'm using Arenea (is that how you spell it?), the Priestess of Azura and I'm absolutely amazed at how much better she is then guys like Lydia, Farkas, Aela, etc.
Noone saying Cicero makes Cicero sad.

Wait, you can have Cicero as a follower? That would be awesome!

I think Cicero is even more annoying than Heimryk or whatever he's called (the Talos worshipper in Whiterun).

Oh God, I actually pulled up my axe and fucked cicero up when I first saw him due to pure irritation... Also I killed the damn brotherhood spider.. For some reason the whole brooderhood went apeshit just for killing the damn spider. Crazy the bunch of them to be honest.

Sup Guys,
Any of you play with two-handed chars? i would really like some tips, what perks to add and other stuff. THX

I will add my vote to Cicero being most annoying character in the game. Good god. Was so happy I got to kill the fucker.

I only play it for BW for the last 5 months. If it helps I am using a 9800GTX, have 6GB of RAM and a AMD 64 x2 6000+, and I'm running on 1920x1200 and wayy more than min settings. I almost never use AA or AF, so those are turned off, but everything else is turned all the way up.

I'm using Mercurio. I really like the guy. I think i tried 3-4 mercenary/followers before but they all got themselves killed, Mercurio's still alive after i did almost 10 levels. He's doing nice damage, has funny lines and doesn't go in the mid of the fire. Usually when we enter rooms packed with enemies, i rely on my block (100 with all perks and 35% more block amulet) while he softens them up.
I also find the dremora knight from the sanguine staff to be very helpful. I'm a level 39 one-hand sword/block elf playing at masters difficulty. Everyone's dealing so much damage... like forsworn who with 45 dmg swords, one not-blocked hit from them gives in like 150 dmg to me (i really don't understand how the damage is calculated) so without block i don't stand a chance.
Also, i got the 3 words for fire breath but shit, that shout barely deals any damage to enemies .

Impatient much ? :D
Sooo, from the 2H perk tree, I'd say the foward sprint power attack isn't needed but can be fun to use, any other is good, weapon specs are ok unless you go for axes (bleeding doesn't do that much afaik). The sweep thingy which let you hit multiple ennemies with one hit is really good once you get used to using it. I also took some blocking perks, especially the one that slows time when ennemy is power attacking, as it helps interrupting it.
I played on master with heavy armor, gameplay is pretty dull, hit everything that uses one handed as you outdps them, but beware of 2H users as you can't block as good as with a shield. 2 weapons users can hurt you too, but if you focus/stunlock them it should be fine.
Smithing is a good perk tree for any warrior, too bad it's broken in the endgame (as is pretty much anything tbh).
Also, you might have trouble with magic users as you don't have a shield (with the elemental resist perk), so keep any +resist item and switch them accordingly.
That's it for now...
EDIT : Oh yeah, dragons... If you don't want to use ranged attack of any kind, you might want to rush the main quest a bit to get the dragonrend shout, which forces them to land. Very usefull for full melee char.
