Guild Notice:
No special events are going on right now that requires a guild effort. If you want to help the guild farm snowflakes on the tree map and exchange them for the +drop item and give it to someone higher leveled. Otherwise just level up so you can join the bossing crew. Make sure you strike a balance between grinding and merching!

Statless vs Low Stat
A statless build is one where you do not put any stats into your secondary stat. A low stat one is obviously one where you cap your stat at a fairly low number. The only class that should go statless is Warriors because of the new accuracy system and the fairly new equip potential system. Low stat is definitely the way to go for most people because it will make it a lot easier to equip your end game items.
Warriors:
Put all your stats into str. Every last one.
Archers:
Bowmen keep your str at your level+5 Xbowmen keep your str at your level.
Put 4 dex and 1 str every level. Cap your str at 40-60.
Thieves:
All thieves want their dex to be their levelx2.
Put 3 luk and 2 dex every level. Cap your dex at 30-60
Mages:
All mages want their luk to be their level+3
Put 4int and 1 luk every level. Cap your luk at 30-50.

Ways to Earn Money
+ Show Spoiler +
These quests are just to get you some start up capital. The only real way to earn money is to do these and then start merching. I suck balls at merching so I'll get someone else to write what they know. I'll jot down some notes that I do know though.
Quests to do
Jane and the Wild Boar - Random weapon 60% scroll
Eos Tower Threratened - Random weapon 60% scroll
Subani's Legacy - GFA 60%
Jane and the Alchemist chain GFA 10% or GFA 60% (Not really recommended, it's quite long compared to the others)
Reversal - GFA 70% (Not really recommended, it's quite long compared to the others)
Peace at Eos Tower - GFA 10% or GFA 60%
Merching
The general idea of buy low sell high applies here.
First thing you need to do is go to the Maplestory site, Cash Shop, Charge Account, and go to free NX. Do the offer for the Bing toolbar to get 6k NX and use it to buy a shop permit. Save the rest.
Here's a list of some items I do.
Item, buy for price, sell for price
GFA 60% 7m 9m
Dep Star 35m 45m
Pot Scroll 10m 13m
8 atk WG 35m 45m

End Equips
Section not complete
End game equips for people is pretty general. You want a piece of equipment that is level 71+ and you want the potential to give +% stat to your main stat. +% to your secondary stat is pretty useless. Ideally the equip will be scrolled for your secondary stat and the potential will give % to your main stat. This applies to pretty much every piece of equipment except some which can't be scrolled.
Armor: Bowmen and Mages will use overalls while Thieves and Wars use top+bottom. That's the general trend but Thieves and Wars can use overall as well.
Cape: If you're a Mage you should look for a Purple Adventurer Cape (PUAC) or Purple Gaia Cape. Every other class will want a Pink Adventurer Cape (PAC) or Pink Gaia Cape.
Glove: A simple Work Glove scrolled for attack will work for a very long time. An 8 atk wg is very cost effective and will do you very well for the majority of your time mapling.
Helm: Best helmet you can get for a long time is a Zakum, Scarlion, or Targa helmet. Do not buy one, they are easily obtainable by the guild. Scarlion and Targa are better but they also have a higher level requirement. Any of these 3 will do.
Pendent: Don't worry about this until about level 80. At that point get someone to help you kill the bosses in NLC to get a Silver Dep Star. At 110 sell the Dep Star and buy a Mark of Naricain (MoN) from someone. MoN can be the very last pendent you get if you want because it's a very strong one. However at the later levels like 140+ you may want to upgrade your MoN to a Horntail Pendent (HTP).
