Werewolves getting more combat tricks, not that they needed any more. The other green card, strangleroot geist, seems pretty good. Naya seems to have gotten the best deal in terms of removal right now. Ancient grudge and the new Ray of revelation, along with o-rings and the regular red burn package. Green with beast within. I don't see ghoultree being viable. For you to be able to play it, you need quite a few creatures in your deck to even have creatures to spare. Removal and tokens/small creatures are so prevalent right now that it would either just get chumped or killed immediately.

On January 11 2012 04:27 Ryan307 ![]() If it was 5/3 it would be a lot worse (bolt). It might see play in block but I doubt it. I can't wait to see more cards! Pretty sure Bolt isn't legal in Standard. Anyway, the Undying mechanic gives Pod decks a ton of more fun stuff to play with.

Sorin, Lord of Innistrad 2BW 3 Loyalty +1 - Put a 1/1 Vampire token with lifelink on the field. -2 - Get an emblem that gives creatures +1/0 -6 Destroy 3 target creatures or planeswalkers then return them to your control. HOKAY, so, you have a planeswalker that can protect himself and his life total, shit out emblems that act as anthems, and at best can basically win you the game if they have any sort of board presence at all. I'd say he's pretty good. Secrets of the Dead 2U When you cast a spell from the graveyard, Draw a card. Burning Vengeance's Blue cousin. Loyal Cathar // Unhallowed Cathar WW Vigilance, flip when he dies. Unhallowed Cathar can't block 2/2 flips into 2/1 Meh... Moonveil Dragon 3RRR Flying, R: Each creature you control gets +1/0 until EOT 5/5 Shivan Dragon on crack. Falkenrath Aristocrat 2BR Flying, Haste Sac a creature: Falkenrath Aristocrat is indestructable until EOT, if it was a human it gets a +1/+1 counter. 4/1 Limited bomb and reach for a B/R aggro deck that already got Gravecrawler? I'm thinking B/R aggro may be a real deck now. Uber pumped for this set, it's looking great.

it'll be interesting if a BW tokens deck springs up in std or modern. secrets of the dead is funny. they do need abit more support on the flashback side of things if they want to make a second astral slide. we'll see if this becomes a real deck. one of the reason astral slide worked was cycling lands and how powerful white control elements were at the time loyal cathar is decent and nothing to "meh" at. theres just alot of value for 2 mana. i mean he might not be exactly what white decks need in this meta. if you could build a manabase in this format that could reliably cast both this and the undying haste guy, you would probably have a super scary weenie deck. i was going to say the falkenrath guy is not what a BR aggro deck needs, but then I saw his 4/1 stats. 4 power flier is pretty legit.

Meh because it's another Doomed Traveler. It helps against control decks that rely on board sweepers (read Esper), and black dodges spot removal (he's black when flipped), but compared to the other cards spoiled today, he's not as exciting. He's a premier common to be sure, but not super exciting. Also edited in the P/T on Falkenrath Aristocrat because I forgot ><

What can I say, I'm a Johnny ![]() Also, I'd trade 1 power for flying and the ability to block any day.
