Im sure they consider it on a case by case basis. TL is fine and such, they just didnt want a large scale Guild Wars 2 named "Team Liquid" or "Liquid'" specifically. And ill respect that.

I don't know what's wrong with the name Liquid. Team liquid I can understand but Liquid is a generic term that would both do homage to this website while not being in anyones face/obviously anything but a normal guild.

Its not up for discussion, I asked with the greatest respect, using the contact form, and they replied promptly and nicely. They do a lot behind the scenes work and policing of these forums, its not really up for debate in my eyes, I hope you understand.

After some thought and chatting with members here, the name we thought of was "Legacy", that gives tribute to the community and its extended history. As we get closer to game launch, as with all other major topics, we will hold a fun vote to decide the most popular name.

To defend the name we chose, I will challenge a 1vs1 in sc2 against someone representing the popular vote (for guild name) to decide which one we go with. lol.

This is sorta the things you can expect in the forums up until launch

I hope its fine with you guys at least temporarily.

going to get this given I can get it in any stores near me seeing as it is a one time fee. But just curious how would pvp in this game compare with eve. I mean the small nullse skirmished not the huge 1000vs1000 fleetfights

If we have any members here that consider themselves fluent in a quickie decent flash intro, let me know here, as thats all were really missing.

It would consist of a typical concept art backdrop, with a few links to forums and recruitment, very simple. Obviously with some sort of "hover" effect for the links. No videos or anything.

But if we have someone here who knows more about flash than me, I'd love you for life Thanks.

I used to play a long time ago with BRO, we peaked around top 50 before I stopped playing. Those were the War Machine, XoO, I Guild I, Idiot Savant days... I've never felt such fierce competition in a game before!

I'm a long time TL lurker looking to meet some people also in GW2.

Back when i played GW1 i was in a high ranked (top20 sometimes top10 in the ladder) guild, would be nice to do some decent GvG again, if that's at all possible in GW2. About the guild i have to ask if it will be mostly american, then i can't join because of timezone issues.

Awesome ! This is first on my to buy list after i buy a new pc even before SC2.

Watching all those people jump around and huddle around the chest reminded me of a lot of the retards I raided/pugged with in WoW...

Might give it a look if the story (while leveling) is immersive and enjoyable, since I love rpgs. Nowadays there's no wa I can commit the long sessions and mass hours required to actually do good in an MMO.

I will definitely pick up the CE, and would also be interested in joining up with you guys. Whether they will use the same server-system they currently use in GW I don't know. I reside in Europe but would not have any problem playing on the US servers should it be possible. As long as the ping is just as good as it is now of course.

I'd be in provided I can play lagfree on US servers and the timezone issues aren't too big of a held up for me.
I would roll a tanking class, provided there's such a thing - haven't really checked the infos yet.

well we would need all sorts of classes, ranging from dps to tank. I think one of the first things to come up for sure before the game starts will be "what type of class do you prefer".

I think I will roll some sort of burst dps class, I was always a sucker for glass cannons.
