Though when I started playing gw 1 I was also 14 years old and had no 12€/month compared to now haha

But, then again if they do expansions I have no problem with it being a one time deal as I hate buying expansions for subscription-based games.

If they put out a good product and come out with 1 time buy expansions, they should be able to get the amount of revenue they need to live comfortably and still produce content. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more at release or a bit less on subscription/micro transactions. I think GW2 is doing it the right way though and I can't wait to try it out.

I had email sent to me that i signed up via, but everyone else seems to signed up via guildwars2 website? Sounds like you got a beta weekend event invite. Today though they opened a page where you can sign-up after providing computer specs for a more public beta. https://beta.guildwars2.com/

ArenaNet tweeted a warning that https://beta.guildwars2.com/ is the only place where you should sign up and they also said "beware of scams". If u got an e-mail saying u made it into beta then gz! If u got an e-mail with a link to a site where you sign up, dont trust it.

Actually, if you signed up for email updates and newsletters through the Guild Wars 2 site, they did send out an email notifying you of the opening of the beta sign-ups. The email did correctly link to the site given via Twitter, so it is legit.

GVG was really fun and a great "team-e-sport". Hope they include something like Hero Battle. Best PVP format ever.

However im sure it was not a scam, it was from Arena net themselves and it was directing me to GW2 beta sign up and with the DXDIAG program download to put my information in etc, guild etcetc kind of information probably the same as the rest of you. I have had the reply from GW2 saying my application was accepted aswell. So i just wondered why i got Email telling me to sign up to the beta and no one else seemed to have?
