I think Diablo dropped some l33t lvl 55-58 gear what is the purpose of setting foot in a4 now?

Don't die, it isn't actually that hard. Chances are if you're dying you're under geared for what you're clearing. With act 1 being the best place for farm now for all but the most geared people you shouldn't have many problems not dying anyways. | ||

The rate at which it occurs will be adjusted downward according to Blizzard. Regarding legendaries... If you get a very crappy one, consider salvaging it if it's high enough level. The Fiery Brimstone you get from that can be sold for a reasonable amount (44K last time I checked the EU GAH for them) and it's infinitely easier to move an item on the commodity AH than on the item AH where your trash legendary is mixed in with dozens of the same legendary with slightly different stats. | ||
