Besides digital buys, and select theaters only can think of Torrent. But no idea what language it would be in.

for this whole campy "save the country from the evil empire" atmosphere to work, kinda like ff12, they need to actually make players care about the country.. where as right now it just looks like "future/past tokyo," without any real juxtaposition about why the empire is so evil and aggressive.. the only characters that are actually memorable at this point, for me, are the king (who is going to die early) and luna (who is just interesting because she's a typical victorian/imperial japanese aristocratic girl). then there's the fear of a repeat of FF13-1-2-3 and their lasting impact on square as a whole.. im just very scared.. at least the ost will be good

Please spare yourselves by not watching kingsglaive. Unless you really like CGI. The plot is impossible to follow, the character development is corny at best, and there are no explanations as to why noctis is so important

Anyways... Director Hajime Tabata has revealed that 10 years pass during Final Fantasy XV’s story. "The whole change in Noctis’ appearance from when the game starts compared to when years have passed [is so] that people would feel the passing of time, and that they were actual living, breathing characters rather than just symbolic characters,” <...> “the one important part for us was to see a little bit of Regis in his appearance 10 years later.” “It’s not typical to see a lot of Japanese RPGs with a mid-aged man as the main character,”<..> A lot of people who like Japanese RPGs would be surprised by the fact that they’ll see this character age in the way that he does, so it took a lot of courage for us as developers to do that. But we felt that it was important in communicating [the party’s] development and wanting to express it in a way that we only can with the current generation of consoles.” Source

Also watched Kingsglaive yesterday, it wasn't great but it was better than what I expected. Did go through the mediocre anime too as I felt like I was going to need to find some investment to this boy band cast.

I don't own either current generation console so can't say anything from my own experience.
