The gameplay is brilliant. The new Pokemon are confusing because of the total isolation and being really lacklustre in quality and design, but it's definitely worth it in gameplay alone.

cant believe they dont tell the nintendo ds usb connector anymore, was going to get one for this to do wifi stuff. how do you even get on wi-fi now without wireless router T_T

you can always use your phone as a wireless hotspot if you know how to do it

Or know somebody who has wifi? Probably some cafes have free wifi that you can log into, too.

Depends what kind of phone you got, but theres a bunch that can set themselves up as wireless hot spots. It is a pretty long term situation, I tether all the time.

Does the NDS and newer versions still only take WEP encrypted WiFi connections? I can't access my WiFi through my WPA2 connection, so I'm happily stealing my neighbour's unlocked network for Pokemon.

Pretty much, except for DSi's I think, it's no biggy.

You shoulda been a pro like me and bought a DSi. WPA works like a charm.
XL is a really nice large screen. Well worth the moneyz 4 months ago.

Oh my dear god a lot of the battlers on Wi-FI are awful and have no concept of team synergy. Most of them don't even EV train properly and it's so obvious.
My lack of Choice Scarf/Band and Life Orb hurts. I transferred over my BF team from Heartgold and the grinding will start. Metagross/Heatran/Ttar still rape Battle "Subway" like they did pre generation.

Iris was pathetic as hell. My only Pokemon that lost more than 22 HP was Gigalith, and that was because I was just walling. I was able to use Hone Claws with Excadrill a couple times then one shot all of her Pokemon with EQ >.>

Did anybody buy the collectors edition sort of thing? I was about to until I noticed that the 3Ds comes out the 27th so i assumed that the DSi prices would drop really quickly, thus wasting my money to buy the bundle, even though having an engraved DS would be awesome.
