Pirating pretty much eliminates this i think. Pirating is what prevents newer versions of sf4 going to pc.
the game looks ill but you can combo hit off the ground after an air combo? it looks too easy, I hope they change that because you could only do that kind of stuff in MvC2 if it was very hard to pull off. Just imagine this game turns into, you get hit once and if the opponent is good enough to do the combo you are dead, one mistake and thats gg. The game comes out soon and it looks really fun I can't wait to play it online.

And due to releasing vanilla SF4 on PC and the amount of pirating that went on, thats the reason they've never released a fighting game for PC since lol

It's MUCH MUCH harder to pull off those combos than you think, the timings to execute those links are fairly precise down to just a frame or two.
Part of the appeal of versus games is the "broken" aspect of it that was found in infinites and things like that in MvC2, the gameplay is a system catered to that which allows for insane combos to be pulled off with near perfect execution.
ground combos will exist, absolutely. Theres no way you can convince the hardcore players to remove that, otherwise it isn't a true MvC game.
I'll be honest, I ignored it on SRK because I thought it was random dropped combos early game. I was wrong.
Ammy ice blast looks like a good assist. And you gotta love the song <3
One question (since admittedly, I never looked up much technical stuff in MvC3 so far) how do you aim the shinkuu / proton cannon. Button press? or input super then tap direction?
I saw this thing on eventhubs saying that BestBuy's would have demo kiosks setup for prerelease where you could play the game on xbox360s. I called a few bestbuys around my area and one said they had the kiosk up but no demo until release date, and the other didn't know for sure but assumed that as well.

you do realize most of these 100% combos involve x-factor or 3~5 meters or even both. compare that to mvc2 where storm/sent can kill you with basically two meters. and we don't have to imagine a game where one touch and your dead since we already have it (IM)
anyway midnight release party woot woot. and if the demos are coming out feb.15th, ill already be at home with my own copy -.-
lol yea demos coming out on the 15th may as well not come out at all =(
To echo what's already been said, big damage isn't scary. Mag can't do half the damage iron man can in marvel 2 and he's easily twice as scary.
Apparently there will be a lag simulator option for training mode. loooooooooool.
Random player facebook statuses have been hilarious since leaks started popping up. Jwong "I dont care how early yall get the game I'll body you anyway" or something like that hahaha. Yipes even says he's pleased with the new mag, though I can't help but wonder if capcom wised up and was paying him to advertise =P
It would be awesome if we could have a TL lobby constantly up for Marvel like SRK did for SSF4. It would be great to have a smaller community to start playing this game with instead of the clusterfuck that are the SRK boards when new titles hit.
I'm running a tournament on Valentines Days for this game it's going to be hype! Hopefully the owner of Insert Coins(A soon to be gaming/bar/lounge here in Vegas) will make an appearance like he said he would that would just make it more hype seeing is how were finally establishing a place to play here. If I do get the game sometime this week like I think I should I will have videos or an impression written for all of you here. Arhkangel I co sign that by the way.

That's all I really care about. I liked MvC2 at a low level. Don't really care for "who gets their infinite in first." Though it's fun to watch if it doesn't devolve to that. Actually not that competitive with fighting games. Usually just play them when friends are over (or at friend's place). Not really into poring over a FAQ. At least I would've if I was younger and had tons of time. I can get moderately good without them, but I won't I know all the subtleties that pros exploit (did you know you can chain this into that if you just time it within 0.00001 of a second?W ZOMG WTF LOL).

All the bosses were easy. Cyber Akuma > Onslaught > Apocalypse > ???? > ???? > Abyss
Except for Cyber Akuma all of them amount to giant punching bags to see how much damage your can do with a 5 super meters or something.
