A small amount of pub games in multiplayer and the networking is awful. It's a lot better than before, but nearly unplayable because of disconnects and how the game cannot really properly connect everyone and keep them in-sync for long periods of time. Not sure if it is improved with this expansion, but thus far; it's been disappointing. | ||

I'm sort of in the same boat as you regarding Civ4 (struggle with emperor games but I've won a few). Civ5 was underwhelming even after getting G&K (though it was a decent expansion). Waiting to see what people think of BNW before I make a decision on it. | ||
