The AEK-971 with red dot is perfectly fine for a main assault weapon.

Yea, I'm doing fine with assault (Xm8 prototype) but the other classes weapons suck bad.

The first recon weapon will last you until the GOL which just owns.

Engi's have the best guns and Medics have this one weapon that just rapes, plus if you run tandem medics you'll never be dead.

Meh, I've pretty much settled on Assault for the time being. Although I've unlocked everything up to and including the AUG I'm still using the XM8 with either red dot or 4x. Don't mind it though, I'm killing fools easy with this baby.

I can pretty much see myself playing this game for years.

I play all classes, but recently discovered that the attached grenade launcher with Assault absolutely owns at short and medium distance! And you can resupply yourself.

I don't like any other gun besides the XM8 for the assault class. The XM8 has the rate of fire and accuracy that is perfect for me. I haven't unlocked the M16 yet, but I'm eager to try it out.

im prolly chobo for posting this but just got it for ps3 yesterday after trading in mw2

seems like most fo u guys are pc players but any ps3 users got this?
also any tips/recommendations/things to look out for when i play online? this is my first BF game and so far im just playing campaign to get controls down

I got it on the PS3 as well since I don't really want to spend around $800 - $1000 building a new PC for just 1 game (current PC will run SC2 fine). Watch this video lol. People say that it's stupid, but I honestly think it VERY accurate.

Besides that, I think assault or engineer class are good for beginners. Then move onto medic since medic class can rack up points easily by healing and reviving teammates. Sadly, you will encounter few people with headsets, so working as a team is pretty hard unless you have friends to play with that have headsets. Play the game slowly and don't play it like MW2 because there's a lot of spaces for campers to pick you off. It's best to wait for a teammate to spot an enemy and work your way from there. I love when 90% of the team is either a bunch of terrible snipers or all having a circle jerk behind natural cover with ammo and medic boxes everywhere. Especially Port Valdez, the attackers dont even try. And this is the PC version, wish VOIP actually worked.

is it just me or does it seem liek during rush games defenders have an advantage over attackers?

edit: also wht weapons/perks do u suggest equipping for an engineer?

of course they got the advantage because defenders have unlimited tickets, which means that they can rush the attackers nonstop. if there are at least 1 or 2 squads who have headsets and play strategically, the playing field can be even.

when i choose the engineer class, i use the AKS-74U, AT4 launcher, marksman smg training, and explosive leg pouch.

SCAR-L is statistically the best SMG. Same stats as the 9A-91 and UMP, but a larger clip.
Best AT is definitely Carl Gustav. Low damage against tanks compared to the other two, but rocks at killing infantry at all ranges because of the huge splash radius and shot velocity. Works even better with the explosive damage+ perk.

I just got BC2 last week, was an avid BF2 player and did a lot of scrims/matches along with pubbing even though it was a terrible game. This is a lot more fun to pub in, that's for sure.
