9. TAMAONSEN-Innocent Days



Tamaonsen (aka Soul Bath, but I like to interpret it as Kintamaonsen, or Ball Bath) is a group that perhaps can best be explained by this album.

1. Innocent Days (Beloved Tomboyish Girl)
A nice, peaceful, Irishy version of Cirno's theme. Very peaceful, the kind of song that I would put on before I go sleep.

2. Just One Time (Shanghai Teahouse-Chinese Tea)
Ah, a good rendition of Meiling's Stage Theme, while I sip my highly pretentious tea. Peaceful, quiet: a nice prelude to Get In The Ring's TIME.

3. 黄昏リレーション feat. kana (Loose Rain, Year-Round Absorbed Curiosity)
An otherwise great rendition of those two Fairy Wars tracks totally ruined by loli voices. I was so disappointed when I heard the loli voice, it was a really well done remix otherwise.

4. しかたないじゃない (Bad Apple!)
Uh, it's Bad Apple. It's certainly an interesting take on the song, and the voices are nice, and the loli is gone. But Bad Apple doesn't leave much to the imagination, so there isn't much to really be seen here. It's pleasant, but forgettable.

5. Nightcall (Youkai Back Shrine Road)
This is one of the best extra stage themes, second of course to Centennial Festival for Magical Girls. And this remix doesn't do much of anything. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, so to speak.

[b]6. ハレケロジック feat. ill.bell (Tomorrow will be Special; Yesterday was Not)/b]
Uh, a soft guitar version of Suwako's Stage Theme to Japanese rap. The rap is strangely melodic though, so it's not too bad. When the female vocal comes in though it's pure sex. Then, it all goes downhill...

7. Eye-Splice feat. ｙｔｒ (Satori Maiden-3rd Eye)
I love 3rd Eye. It begins promisingly enough for a decent female vocal, but nothing special. Then the fucking rap comes in. It evokes that crappy Death Note anime music, which I thought was hilarious, but hilariously bad. Once again, another good song ruined by rap.

8. PARFECT MIC REEEEEEEEELAY!! (Great Fairy Wars)
The all-caps and massive amount of E's should have been a warning. So should have the previous tracks. It starts peacefully enough, though, so I was lulled into a false-sense of security. Then, it begins.
The first one isn't god-awful: I think its the same guy from 6. It's not terrible, because it goes in with the theme fairly well, keeping the theme in there.
The second one brings in the Yakuza voice. Oh god. This is going down hill.
FUCK. FUCK. FUCKKKKKKKK.
I can't listen anymore. It's awful.

GOOD JOB BALL BATH, YOU JUST RUINED YOUR ALBUM
I'M NOT EVEN GOING TO REVIEW THE INSTRUMENTALS NOW. FUCK THIS SHIT>

7. Sound Holic feat 709sec.-Flower Buster



Sound Holic is one of the most organized, biggest, and in my opinion, better doujin groups. 709sec is Sound Holic's retarded Engrish cousin. The thing is, 709sec still has the family name and support.

Rather than give a track by track review as I normally would, I instead will grade the album as a whole.

This isn't 709sec's worst work. In fact, it's probably oneo f their better works, because the Engrish is moderated and there are some parts where the actual talent of Sound Holic comes into play (tracks 7, 10, and 11). Those parts are classic Sound Holic, and I would be proud to have them in my album anyday.

The rest is of course... 709sec, for which your mileage may vary.

6. Get in the Ring-Astral Vision


Get in the Ring is one of my favorite groups. They are known for making good vocal arranges and especially for medleys. Most TLADT fags will know them for their Chinese Tea/Luna Dial vocal, TIME. Unfortunately, they were a little bit disappointing in this album, probably due to an increase in reliance on techno, although still decent.

01 Rise to the star (Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya, Sanae, Youmu medley)
A bit iffy for me. It was okay, but it wasn’t particularly memorable like their earlier works.

02 想送歌 -spiritual message- (Komachi + Shikeiki)
This one I can get behind a little more. Fate of 60 Years is a nice theme, and for whatever reason it goes really well with Riverside View.

03 降り積もれよメトロスノ (Beloved Tomboy Girl, Deep Mountain, Crystallized Silver)
Fucking Cirno. Still, it’s not terrible.

4. 欲-OVERDRIVE-望 (Legend of Great Gods, True Administrator)
This one was the biggest let down. How do you take two awesome songs and turn it mediocre? While it’s not bad, it’s not good either. Heavily disappointed. Too much techno.

5. Ring Wandering ～(Chen’s Theme)
Catchy, but in a bad way. Earworm bad. Chen chen chen chen... pretty much sums up this song. Apparently this was in the new patch for Touhou Sky Arena.

06 Ignis (Rin/Utusho)
This song in my opinion probably one of the better ones on the album. Which is unfortunate because it’s not that special. Also I don’t really like Rin’s theme.

07 パラドクス･リリイ (something from Ghostly Field Club)
I don’t listen to originals (TROLLOLOLOL)

08 ラストリモート～Blaze+ mix feat.みぃ (Last Remote)
I fucking love Mii’s voice. Last Remote not so much, but this was probably the best on the album.
