Don't be all hipster like that Caller. Just take it easy . The Bad Apple PV is still pretty cool. I remember watching it at least once a day when it first came out. Back then I didn't even know who most of the Touhou characters were.
On a Yuyuko related note, I did a 1cc with Youmu for the first time in Ten Desires yesterday. The ending was pretty silly with Yuyuko trying to resurrect herself (again), getting bored and making Youmu clean up the mess. Keep on keeping on crazy ghost princess.
Yuyuko killed herself because she was terrified of potentially misusing her power to invoke Death upon others. After her suicide, her corpse was buried under the Saigyou Ayakashi, the youkai cherry blossom tree that had killed innocent humans, and used as a seal to pacify the tree.
Fast forward to PCB. Yuyuko, now a ghost, discovers a body underneath the Saigyou Ayakashi. Since her memories of life faded over time, she didn't know that this body was in fact her own corpse. She attempts to resurrect the corpse by causing the Saigyou Ayakashi to bloom. However, Yuyuko is unaware that in doing so, she would have both awakened the youkai tree to resume its rampage, and erased her own existence due to the tree absorbing her. Reimu/Marisa/Sakuya prevent this from occurring, and Yuyuko resigns herself to her ghostly ways.

Well if you don't know her you just have to resurrect her and meet her .
Think of it this way, Yuyuko has the power to invoke death on any mortal. She found out that the biggest chrry blossom tree in her garden is being sealed by a dead girl buried under it. Resurrecting this girl allows yuyuko to try and accomplish the complete opposite of what her powers are and allow her biggest tree to bloom. Sounds like an awesome plan. Bonus for meeting a girl who is powerful enough to seal a youkai tree with her body.
Meh, I wonder why Mumu player doesn't work for me. Even restart on FF doesn't work. I can't hear any song. Maybe I should explain in more details but sleep for me now. Maybe I'll explain in more details later.
Doesn't really matter if its not translated, though I expect the community will probably do something to make it easier to play the game not knowing the language like they with The Genius of Sappheiros. Many people played pokemon R/B/G and G/S/C and so forth in japanese not knowing a single word and still beat it lol. (Though of course it probably won't be that easy, given TGoS)
ok so as long as we're on the topic, does anyone have any recommendation for good doujin games? I've played a grand total of 1 (dynamarisa) and it was kinda meh, so I want to try other things

There are only 2 off the top of my head that I would recommend as a must play: Touhouvania (2) (platformer, like castlevania, except I haven't played that) -got professional seiyuus, :D Concealed the Conclusion (runs on danmakufu, which is a bit of a hassle to get working sometimes) -the music is all arranges, some from ZUN's music CD's, but they're fucking good. -plus it's a touhou game with a legitimate storyline, although you'll have to look it up on the touhouwiki, the game has no eng. patch
Recently I've been reading touhou stories and CYOA's (ChooseYourOwnAdventure), I can form a list of recc's if your interested and have free time.
Oh I randomly went on hongun prime's stream, and he was playing touhou music. :D
