 and omg you got the runs! it's a little slower than holeyhell's but it's not too slow to be detracting, and i dont hear you messing up (yet) lol omg, you do the runs + melody =O it's a lot better than holeyhell's, and it's 6:30 o.o Good job ^^ I'm not sure if there's any difference or part that makes it 6:30, did you just play it "twice"? You make some much more notable mistakes in the 2nd half but it's still not bad, i'm at 5:30 right now and you haven't made any big mistakes... it was only like 4:00-5:00 or something. Last 30 seconds yay you got the last chord FUCK! the ending jk lol gj xD Edit: Actually im not sure if it's even slower than holeyhell's maybe he just messes up a lot so it feels faster xD. I'm going to try to rerecord on a better piano when I get some downtime - I tried the baby grand at work a week ago and it definitely has a better feel than the piano I have at home | ||

I was reading online and found some things that I feel helped me a lot. When I performed at my solo & ensemble thing I felt like I performed it the best ever (least amount of mistakes, felt in control). Just in case you haven't tried these ^^ 1) After each practice, play the song without any mistakes. Playing slowly to get as close to 100% as possible helps, and take the opportunity to press really hard on the keys so that it helps your muscles remember 2) The day you want to perform, do not play it at full speed. Play the song at 75% speed and then when you're done, play it at 50% or something even slower, again trying to get 100% accuracy Once you perform you should make very little mistakes. I never actually tried the 2nd one that strictly actually, playing my solo at 100% and then slower and then slower to reduce mistakes. I think the idea though is just to be sure to remember how to play it slowly so that you're more aware of things when you play it for real. The place I read this at also mentioned that the reason why you don't play full full speed the day you perform is because then you might lose excitement when you do it for real. If you practice slowly then play it for real at the performance, you can get into it more because you haven't played it properly yet. Also, your recorder isn't bad but maybe you should get a better one ^^ (or maybe it's just the pedal?) | ||

I already kind of do #1 but I've never heard #2 either way I didn't do much preparation for this - it was "oh hey my hands feel pretty relaxed compared to the last two days, I'll give it a shot"; also you might notice a chord at the beginning - it's because I actually played it 3 times; the first time being very slow (and with much fewer mistakes), but it didn't sound right at that slow of a tempo | ||
