Meanwhile, I have fun by listening to ZUN songs. Although, I wonder what people mean by "ZUN is losing his touch" when it comes down to his recent music work? I need to listen to more songs to understand what they mean by that I guess. Edit: I have noticed just a few minutes ago with YT by discovering more but when I say ZUN music, is it a specific version? Because, for example, Septette for the Dead Princess seems to have a few more versions yet they're official and I usually think of EoSD version + Show Spoiler [EoSD] + + Show Spoiler [SWR] + | ||

Too bad he does SO MUCH FUCKING LOLI PORN. :| edit: Rizare, I guess ppl are referring to recent music as in music from his recent games (th12, th13). A lot of people really like the older music, and it's really hard to get ppl to change their minds. If you look at the results for the popularity polls for music, the same themes make top 10 or so every year. Aside from a 1 or 2 themes, most of the new music kinda get lost in the lower ranks (based on th12 results in the 2010/2011 polls, but I think th13 results in 2012 will follow the same pattern). Personally, I think Zun just did a very good job with th11 music and ppl are just whiney that th12 and th13 weren't as great. You can view results of past polls here. SWR is a fighting game for Touhou, so that's why there are two versions. EoSD is the "main" one though of course | ||

 Also a couple things: Ex-keine is her hakutaku form. She's a half youkai, (a were-hakutaku to be exact), and transforms during a full moon, which happens during IN exstage. Disappointed you didn't know that Not sure what you mean by rumia and wriggle, but those two, along with cirno, daiyousei, and mystia are commonly portrayed as friends in fanon, given the unofficial term "Team ⑨" | ||

(These polls are held annually at Japanese site thwiki.info) it's really just the nostalgia effect coming into play I only got into touhou less than a year ago, so the newer music seem fresher to me, but I find that I don't really get attached to particular games, moreso just specific characters' themes though, with that said, ZUN's style is pretty well-established and producing music in the same style for 7+ continuous years tends to take its' toll on the quality of writing (nobuo uematsu anyone?); either he stays the same and newer themes are decent but increasingly familiar, or he experiments in a big way and runs the risk of alienating his fanbase ~_~ | ||

fuck i practiced the song like 8 more hours this weekend and yea i think it's a bit too hard, kekekek. As in it's too hard for me to be able to think about everything properly while i play to not make mistakes. or maybe not oh, that one dkpl haha xD also yeah i dont agree ZUN is not losing his touch, he uses some different styles/influences tho so maybe they just don't like the recent ones (the TH13 ones are fine) | ||

Also I just realized it might be hard for me to get a recording if my parents are home lol. But they should be going to church that night so I should only have to deal with my brother. Either that or I go record in the basement with the keyboard, but it's sort of broken cus when you press the keys you hear the hammers really loudly and I don't have a labtop to take the MIDI directly from it but I could get one but the MIDI never sounds good cus idk if it's the keyboard or me but when you listen to any recording through the keyboard it sounds really bad lol. Or maybe it's just i'm bad =O though as long as i can keep going and not stop (i have a bad habit of stopping even when i don't play it wrong, lol) and not do worse than some of holeyhell's, I think i'll be satisfied xD Also, lol why so few views on that blog video? After a quick look at those polls, I'm surprised that Flandre is popular, despite appearing in only EoSD. Not that I have anything wrong against her, I even like her theme song. Well come to think about it, maybe I should try these games if I have spare time. What do you guys recommend to a complete newb? I heard that it's really hard for a newcomer to get into it but after that, the "easy" difficulty is actually easy. Of course, I watched a few gameplay videos (Flandre extra stage EoSD, Yuyuko and Yukari in PCB) so I have a general idea of what I'm going in to as well.
