That being said this thread needs to die, and i'm not helping XD This thread was about the VERY TOP (e.g. top 8 from Flash to Leta) KeSPA pros dominating the SC2 scene once they switched. What we ended up seeing was a lot of the KeSPA pros doing well and even starting to dominate (e.g. Rain, InnoVation, etc.) but it wasn't the very best in Brood War becoming the very best in SC2. So I think the OP was 50% right and 50% wrong.

Maybe you should actually read it, the article asserts that even the worst BW pros could come to SC2 and dominate it.This thread was about the VERY TOP (e.g. top 8 from Flash to Leta) KeSPA pros dominating the SC2 scene once they switched. Kespa pros are very strong in SC2, and continue to become the best players in SC2 the more time spent playing the game. Kespa pros are the hardest and smartest practicing players and unsurprisingly are starting to fill up the ranks of the best of the best in SC2. The stuff about non-Kespa pros being "a farce" and all that stuff intended to instigate and enrage may not be perfectly true but I think there's some rightness in it

The stuff about non-Kespa pros being "a farce" and all that stuff intended to instigate and enrage may not be perfectly true but I think there's some rightness in it Except that 'stuff' about sc2 competition being a 'farce' is in big bold letters at the beginning of article because it is the hypothesis that the rest of the article is trying to prove. It is wrong, and this article is completely wrong because of it. We are well over a year past kespa's switch and not only have jaedong and flash and bisu or whomever failed to dominate the scene, but the best kespa pro is innovation, someone who was not even considered top tier in broodwar. Basically what has turned out to be true is the exact opposite of what this article is trying disprove, and that is that starcraft 2 is a DIFFERENT game and different players, players who did not have much of a succesful brood war career, have dominated. Point. Blank. Period. To everyone trying to muddle the article's message and point out that it is still relevent, give it a rest already, and enjoy the new game. A different game.

It's that he was always a nobody - he just won games because half the people he was playing were also nobodies. MKP stagnated in skill while everyone else around him got better, he was still doing things like not making a wall or bunker at his third just recently.

Oh no worries, I do enjoy the new game in which Kespa pros are becoming the dominant force
