Lost to Leenock 1-2
Hope he does better tomorrow. Really didn't like his builds today and felt they put him super far behind twice.
People were making excuses fior Neeb being burn out, we can do the same for TY.
People forget Leenock and TY were teammates. Most teamkills are 50/50 anyway. though Terran is struggling in the meta right now
The patch hasn't even been out for a week. What meta? All the Terrans were just doing pre-patch builds (e.g. 2-1-1 stim drop) which are all just about figured out. And 3-rax reaper isn't exactly a god tier build on Daybreak or Overgrowth.
Thats what i meant. Terran are using pre patch builds wheread zerg and toss are destroying them. Hence they are stuggling, maybe it will get better in a few weeks but right now its not good

OMG TY finally won a thing, look how he's happy! And I'm happy too! Now it's time to rock and win WESG + cash! I'm sure next year he gonna stomp everyone.
It's the curse of the major changes. Remember how the best players of HotS really struggled at the beginning of LotV? When you're very good, it's because hours and hours of play have been ingrained into your muscle memory and rhythm and instinct. Major changes force you to make adjustments that go against everything you previously trained for.

He has one last shot on Tuesday. But there's still a bunch of good players left so he might fail a 3rd time depending on the bracket.
He lost to another teamkill. Like I said before it's not unusual for teamkills to be 50/50 so I'm not suprised. Although I will be concered if he would lose to jjakji in the 3rd qualfiier

Stats and TY were getting pretty damn good towards the end on HoTS to be fair though. I think the change in coaching is the biggest difference. after living for so many years in a teamhouse and all

Teamkills are usually 50/50 because of mindgames. He just lost straight-up, no mindgames involved. And I expect TY to do better than 50/50 on average vs Trust and Leenock. When he's in form.
He could have totally won 2-0 too, just didn't play the game out well enough.

I didn't see the games so idk. But mindgames are always there with teammates. They will always have an idea of what's going on after they play eachother at least a couple hundred times in practice. There's always potential for a teammate to steal a couple maps of you. I can't take losing a bo3 2-1 to a teammate to be a show of form. Losing to someone like Hateme, well that's a different story.

Yeah it sucks. The seeding was indeed very questionable
It was straight up retarded. They treated WCS Korea and WCS Circuit the same even though Koreans were region locked out of the WCS events. So Neeb got the #1 seed even though he only had 1500 points from Korean tournaments. Snute was the #4 seed playing cross server from EU to KR.

Yeah i didn't wanna use strong language but i agree with you. TY still has WESG though, so it's ok for him i guess.
I think TY just needs a few weeks. Out of all Terrans he adapted the fastest to LotV so adapting to the patch and map pool shouldn't be too hard for him. Everything he did in the games made sense. He just didn't quite play well enough overall. He could have qualified but he made some key mistakes so it didn't work. By the time the next tournaments come around he'll probably be fine.

Only consistant Terran of the year*
and tbh I fear for ByuNs performance as well at this point. Bio is substantially weaker now and we haven't seen him do anything decent with mech outside tankivacs.
Its such a shame TY ain't in it, considering he almost got a free seed which went to Zest

I don't think bio is substantially weaker.
Hopefully WCS Korea will have more tournaments.
They buffed everything that counters bio while leaving bio with the same stats, I'd say there's a difference there. Although it is mostly TvZ where the issues lie.
Even in TvT tanks are so much stronger now, I don't think ByuN had any experience in pre LoTV tank fights (aka without tankivacs and weaker tanks).

Of course he has, he played Terran for most of Wings (started as Protoss) and he was round for parts of HotS.
