This was just a really weird weekend from TY. He struggled against Namshar and HateMe, and I mean no disrespect when I say this, but TY has defeated way better players with way less trouble in the past. He lost to both Patience and Zest, which, you know, that can happen, no shame in that, and he took 3 maps against them, but he never looked convincing at all. But then he played against uThermal - the best foreign Terran and a player way ahead of Namshar or HateMe - who was in good form and feeling confident in every match-up and there wasn't a minute where TY was under threat. | ||

I'm chalking up the early poor performances vs Namshar and Hateme to the loss of his gear at the airport. If he got his equipment back later, that might explain the better games against uThermal and Zest/Patience. I also suspect that TY doesn't travel well. He suffers from jet-lag - I remember an interview he did during the 2015 DreamHack ROCCAT LotV Championship (the last international tournament open to Koreans before the WCS rule change) where he said that he performed better after he managed to sleep. | ||

Lost to Leenock 1-2 Hope he does better tomorrow. Really didn't like his builds today and felt they put him super far behind twice. | ||

Most teamkills are 50/50 anyway. though Terran is struggling in the meta right now Speaking of Neeb, I really hate to say it but he's looking more like a patchtoss every day. Since his disruptor-blink run at Kespa Cup it's just loses for him. I really dunno what to think | ||

All the Terrans were just doing pre-patch builds (e.g. 2-1-1 stim drop) which are all just about figured out. And 3-rax reaper isn't exactly a god tier build on Daybreak or Overgrowth. In the 2nd half of the Daybreak game between TY and Leenock you can just see TY outplay him really hard but he was too far behind for it to work out because his opening (a 3-rax reaper where his stim finished after Leenock had baneling speed) put him too far behind. | ||
