Cure played very poorly especially in the rematch tbh. I can't imagine the other top Terrans ever losing from the spot he was in on Deathaura. He didn't really look like he had a clear plan in macro games either to the point I have to question why he picked DRG and decided to play the way he did against him.

Must admit that I wrote it before watching the rematch, Cure did not look good there at all.

Cure is also a very straight-up TvZ player, it seems he just wants to trade more efficiently and just win it that way, i.e. classic TvZ. Don't think you can do that in this age.

TY is of course not straight up at all, so there is hope there. But I confess that I just have a hard time seeing anyone win TvZ unless there is significant early-game damage.

Amazing to hear that he is just not clutch enough to pass the bus license exam

Also, seeing him there with his glasses, it's incredible that he keeps playing without them. I remember him saying once that he sometimes has issues seeing stuff on the minimap. For the love of god, use your glasses dude. Vanity is a powerful thing.

That was a very impressive series. Even if DRG didn’t play to his strengths, it seemed like TY forced his hand in games 1 & 2. That was also some of the best TvZ multitasking I’ve seen him do in a while.

He looked really good for most of it. Only concerning part was in the first game when it started to slip a little from him because he didn't have a direct answer to the lurkers.

Hope he can look this good in the next round.

Yeah that was some amazing play. There is nothing better than watching TY play when he hits his stride.

I too got worried when those Ghosts came out so late in g1, and then cloak came really later after. Not sure he even got to use it before the game was over. It's crazy that zerg can even be in the game after taking that much damage and being so far behind economically, but viper-lurker is stupid good tbh.

It's going to hurt watching the series against Stats, the only saving grace is if one of them takes the championship. And of course if we at least get good games. But winning a Bo7 against Stats seems close to impossible if Stats doesn't fuck around as much as he did today.

Hopefully he can think of something to play a competitive series vs Stats. It's sad they couldn't meet in the finals, but one of them guaranteed in the finals makes me happy.

Cheers to TY! I hope he plays and beats Maru in the finals, he needs to avenge his other finals loss, and he needs to convince people he is the OG TvT master. Maru has shown a lot more TvT than TY has, I wonder what TY will bring to the table to counter Maru's heavy raven play that he showed at King of Battles.

If Armani takes out Maru, I imagine it will have to be through some sort of novelty play, which will give TY a lot of material to study.
