Why do we like her again? Not a stab at her, just a genuine question.
Because she represents a world that people normally consider "diverging" from videogames/e-sports, yet she's actively taking a seemingly genuine interest into it, demonstrating the growing universality of SC2.

I agree. She had no clue what StarCraft was until NASL. She seems to be into the game and how exciting the games were. Hopefully she continues to be a fan even if it's just from a spectator's point of view. This also gives us hope knowing that "normal" people can get interested in SC2 and eSports as a whole.

To put it into perspective, working for the NASL started out as just another gig for her. She had no knowledge of SC or the e-sports scene prior to this. After her first day of interviews, she was basically ridiculed and mocked by an entire community that she knew nothing of for her lack of knowledge and overuse of "excellent". Most people in her spot would have felt offended and/or alienated but instead she just laughed along with us and put forth the effort to improve her interviews for the next day.
Her twitter also shows that she has geniune interest in SC and respect/admiration for progamers and what they do, while many outsiders look at us as a bunch of anti-social nerds doing anti-social things like playing video games.
Basically, we like her because she is so... likable.
By the way Lindsey, if you see this post, I highly recommend watching Day9 Daily #100. He basically tells his lifestory with regards to SC. Its quite long but a moving and enjoyable watch. It'll give you some idea of the passion a lot of us are for this game.
