Polt's play is a little hard to tell in which most of his moves are very subtle. He's solid and has good decision making but doesn't have the best execution and or flashy micro (with the exception of game 2 in the finals against MMA when he split his marines against tanks like a complete boss). And for some strange reason his opponents play seems mediocre or lackluster, but that doesn't take anything away from his championship.

Optimus is more of a title than a name, despite the name change. Whoever in Prime wins the next championship gets handed down the name and title of Optimus. May as well keep referring him to Polt, at least that's how I view things.

It's the Prime Effect. Also see: HongUn vs. everyone-who-is-not-NesTea in GSL July and MKP vs. Code A this season.

I think there is an element of understanding that non progamers lack which means they cannot see subtle nuances is gameplay which is achieving an advantage. We look at supplys, worker counts, tech, expansions, and someones micro, but most people cannot see past that. MKP looks sloppy with his mech control, running into siege tanks, but he always seems to be up in supply anyway. Polt looks dumb stimming bio up a ramp into tanks, but the tanks are still dead at the end of the day. Hongun's all in play may actually be him reacting to his opponent's build and doing the perfect counter, and if that means 'i see Terran wall = void ray bust' then so be it. But it would be wholly disrespectful and naive to think professional gamers are earning hundreds and thousands of dollars by being lucky and relying on other people's mistakes.

Just making a joke, man. I actually think Prime as a team plays a very timing-based style. Polt, MKP, and HongUn (to a lesser extent, I guess) have very strong timing attacks that tend to catch their opponents off-guard, which causes them to panic and flounder about as they try to recover. This typically leads to sloppier-looking games, especially when their opponents can't quite find their footing, but it gets the job done in the end. Anyways, Polt's timings are absolutely terrifying. I feel he has a better understanding of the importance of momentum in TvT than someone like MMA, whom he manages to catch flat-footed every single time.

In addition, I think he has the best tempo-based TvT I have seen so far.
