God forbid someone care about the success of the sc2 scene on a site that is half dedicated to sc2....

That would be a meaningless series -- what's on the line -- something like $500? There's no way Stephano shows up; he doesn't even roll out of bed for less than a 40K tournament anymore -- only kidding I have to think MC will beat Violet given their past history, although Violet's no slouch. I'd love to see StephanovMC.

Will Stephano participate in NASL3? He earned a spot through qualifiers, but I do not see him listed as player.
also, sign me up !

CatsPajamas has just confirmed if MC draws a Zerg it will be Stephano! If this happens it will be after IPL4 though, so IGN will have some Stephano in action before this showmatch.

I don't get why he forfeit the game. If he had won 2:0 vs MMA he'd have gone further in the tournament. And depending on the tie breaker (some tourneys do look at points and if they are even decide by winner in the head to head instead of mapscore) he would've gone on even by "just" a 2:1. I don't understand why he'd give up so quickly even though there's a realistic chance of him making it further ...
Very sad indeed but I hope he had a reason that I fail to see at the moment (tournament wise)
Anyways, good luck @ IPL4

There was no way for him to advance but if he'd won 2-0 then Life would have gone on in place of MMA.

So you say that due to the fact he didn't even try Life was robbed of any chance to advance. I'd say that's sort of ... disappointing (to point it out nicely).

Don't worry he's playing. He just said on twitter about 15 hours ago that he arrived in Las Vegas.

Could you be any more cryptic? Stop being a tease.

Well, it is certainly praise, but it would have more impact if the pro-gamer and the Koreans in question were named. Anyway it is more about hyping up IPL4, which is going to intense. Stephano is going to be having some really tough games at this tournament. I wish him the best of luck. I hope he can show his quality.

Oh man i am rooting for Stephano in IPL just so he keeps playing sc2 professionally! It would be a real shame to have him leave as he one of the few foreigners who can withstand the Korean Tsunami waves! (Just imagine it for a second)

I completely disagree with you, at least having some foreigners able to compete with Korean players is way more attractive than a one-country-only tournament. Stephano is one of the only reason I follow SC2, because I love watching him play, and as soon as he'll retires from pro-gaming, I'm quite sure it'll mean the end of SC2 for me. I'm obviously not going to bring success to the SC2 scene alone, but I think I'm not the only one feeling this way.
|
SC2 needs players like Stephano..anyone basically who is CODE A /S standard and doesnt come from Korea needs as much support and encouragement as possible, be it Huk, Naniwa, Thorzain or Stephano . One country cannot dominate and it be a world scene. It wont work..fans will get disenchanted.
Cmon Stephano you can do it...ps pls stop defaulting games...it isnt the best way to get more money in the bank...promise.
|
I really hope he'll participate in NASL, they're waiting the last 5 players to scare us.
I won't be able to watch IPL this week-end, i'll read here his results! Good luck Stephano.
