Im so proud to be Swedish! You know what the best thing is guys? That NaNiwa doesnt "celebrate" his second place during the final-cermony, that shows how badly he wants to win and how hes not satisfied with placing second.
Of course he will (hopefully) in some days, maybe even today, be happy of what he achieved. Im so happy that he once more could show the people who doubt in him how GOOD he really is, now those people can shut the f*ck up.
HAIL NANI!

Cool that a foreigner did 2nd and losing 3-2 to Leenock in the grand finals. But I think that 2nd game versus JD....lame. Not a fan of that.
Why is that 2nd game against JD lame? I know NaNiwa once said he does not like to win a game in that way, but still, what JD did in game one is almost the same as NaNi did in game 2, "blind-counter". In the end all that matters is winning, and he did beat JD 2-1, so case closed, game 3 was epic, THAT HOLD/defense.
So happy for you Naniwa, I knew your were going to rock at this Dremahack.
Amazing that a lot of predictions came true. On Artosis new show, they predicted Naniwa and Leenock to have a shot at winning more than any other player. I myself predicted Leenock, Naniwa, Gumiho.
Naniwa best foreigner! I've been saying it for a long time, and now the doubters can shut the hell up :D
So sad that he lost in the end. His run reminded me of mlg providence a lot, not just because he met leenock in the finals but beating a ridiculously good zerg to get there, with high level mindgames involved. Really want to see him take wcs eu now, and if he plays like that he probably will.
I wonder if Naniwa himself thinks he did allright, now that he "only" got number 2. Naniwa got a winner mentality like few other. Anyways really good performance. I hope he is somewhat satisfied (:
The main page still says he has the GSL coming up and is on Quantic, just thought I'd give a heads up. He played amazingly at Dreamhack this weekend and shows why he is still the top foreigner, hope his form continues!
Very well played this weekend, probably beyond everyone's expectations. But with so close I can definitely see Naniwa winning some major event soon. Not everyone of these major events have Leenock in them.
It did not really matter if he won or lost, because he still proved that he can compete with the best in HOTS. But it was really anticlimactic when he lost the last game. I was really impressed by naniwas decisions and unit control.
I am still gutted than Naniwa didn't win this :c

Even the best of the best does those kinds of things. It's called having balls.

You will never be 100% ok when you are so close to winning.
He was not completely devastated though and deep down I think he will remember thousands of people cheering for him after his win against Jaedong.
And yes, I believe that this will only make him stronger and focus even more on being the best. He knows he can beat the absolute best.
All I can say is, hope The Alliance pays him well; he is the best foreigner in StarCraft II.
JD went triple hatch before pool in game 1, which was a response to the no forge openings by Nani. In game 2 Nani punished this style of cheese with a simple 2gate. How anyone can criticizes this is beyond me, if greed isn't punished it would spread like cancer and we'd only see triple cc/nexus/hatch before rax/gateway/pool every single pro game.
Beside, cheese adds an element of action and crazyness to the game. Who want to see nothing but 40-min macro-style games with the same unit compositions over and over? WoL-zergs might like that, but most viewers don't.
What Naniwa did there was great and he is probably the best foreigner, but considering his ego, not feeling satisfied with his performance is not surprising.
He beat : Buffy, Gumiho, Tod, MC, SortOf, Jaedong and TLO He lost to : Center, Hyun, Leenock
50% ratio versus korean and 100% versus foreigners
That is really good, but not at his mlg providence level

In fact in the MLG between Leenock and Naniwa mister super korean champion leenock, cheesed naniwa nearly every single game with roach rushes and roach allins so... blaming on naniwa for punishing supermega greedy builds its pretty much unfair. In fact i believe it was really well played.
