But... Am I the only one who really wants a public statement on this whole not trying thing??? Some people are saying it's sarcasm, some are saying it's to be taken seriously, but I want to know what Tyler thinks, I want to know what Nazgul thinks. I hate to be negative but this requires more than just one PR statement from Nazgul. The more time that goes by without updated information, the more time people have to trash talk and shit. I would easily say that Tyler remains one of my favourite players if not my favourite, but I can't stand having nobody's opinion to trust here, besides that of the few professional players that commented (none that were affiliated with liquid either.) To Tyler, if you really aren't trying I don't know what to say. As much as I'm personally upset, I don't blame you, it's not really your fault if you lost motivation, or depression is inhibiting you that much. I'm just curious as to why you haven't been more decisive about your position on team liquid. If starcraft isn't where you feel comfortable in life it's ok to move on from it. Even if it's only temporarily. If you are trying though, then keep at it. You're one of the most innovative players I've seen, and with the release of HotS you really could ride a wave of success with the creative builds you think of. Maybe the success would be enough for you to get the fire back in you, you seemed to be showing that in WCS... TL;DR - Someone from Liquid (hopefully tyler) release another press statement, I want to know the official stance on all of this. Tyler, do what you feel is best for you (hopefully it's more starcraft!) I don't know, all I know is that this is enough of an issue that I want answers!

If what I've heard about players salaries on teams, it's completely possible that he isn't being paid a salary at all. I'm sure someone like Taeja is receiving much more attention and money from Liquid, so if you are worried about him draining liquids attention and funds, that's probably a bit irrational. But... Bumblebee, the manager, made it very clear that every player on liquid is paid a salary in response to someone saying "I dont think Haypro was paid salaries, just expenses covered" I think you can find it on reddit, cuz thats where I saw it 0_0

I know its his fan club but its not like I was saying it to hate on the guy, if anything its the exact opposite. I do not think it's bad to ask these kind of questions as to me it was only intended as a way to touch base on tylers thoughts about his career etc. I just hate the idea of a statement like "im not trying" going completely unaddressed. If you have a link to a thread in which you believe it is more appropriate to comment that im a fan, while worrying about his position on the game then tell me. But you have to acknowledge that to me, this is the other thread that can actually answer any of those questions. Sorry if people thought I was trying to hate on him or promote negative feedback. Only wishing for the best.

Wow dude, getting involved professionally in sc2 is frightening, people had months if not years of slumps in BW, and in sc2 you are not just acknowledged as someone who is doing worse, but you are branded as someone who should be cast out. This sentence is mortifying to read, how can people even think like this?

SC2 people are way to judge mental. I guess this is something that has come with the influx of new fans to the scene.

Why put yourself thru that? Are you gonna play HOTS as well when it is released, and hang on as long as possible? Did you consider taking a coaching position at TL? Staff writer?
