WOW! really? you don't know what to do, so you just log off?? come on... every person (not even players!) know to ASK if they are participating in something and they don't know what the next step is.

Such a poorly excuse from you man. "what should I have done??" seriously??? no way you mean that, dude.

what are they gonna do about it? i didnt ask for this. it was only after i decided to play it and put effort into playing it that they offered to replace me.

if i signed up for this tournament i would be thinking very differently about the rules. you can find out how a tournament is gonna go when you sign up and either agree or not. but to invite someone to a tournament and not tell them anything about it is fucked up. invite me to the tournament, give me the job of scheduling and managing all my own matches, and then when they hear im having a problem scheduling my match, replace me. yeah yeah

You know for someone claiming to know sarcasm, that wasn't a sarcastic comment from tyler. He meant it, but was also venting at the time.

I'm pretty sure most people realize at this point that detecting sarcasm in typed words is much harder than from spoken language...how can you think the opposite.

Always going to be a NonY fan. I love our community but you people can be so damn fickle. One minute Tyler is the Protoss Messiah with that carrier video and SOTG and then the next he is 'creating drama' and then this silly display.

it's also important to empathize with eSports players instead of saying terrible things in an open forum to them. These people depend on emotional condition for league results. It's like screaming bad results and personal issues at baseball players in their dugout. I'm sure we all want to see the best Starcraft we can possibly get, and you're not going to get to that point by demoralizing progamers.

if you don't want to see great Starcraft matches and are here to criticize players for entertainment that you don't get from watching Starcraft, then i suggest you re-evaluate why you became a part of this community because you aren't welcome.

Well Nony did have a rather public outburst. Its not like the criticism came out of nowhere. I think a lot of people were just genuinely taken back by it. Of course the usual vultures came to circle and such but I think the average fan / viewer was quite confused by the sudden call for a GSL boycott.

All groups of humans are fickle bro..not just this community. Once you get passed a few people, reason gets pushed further and further away and is replaced by pack mentality. You can witness this in stream chats, sporting events, school assembleys, hell even congress. maybe one day we will evolve beyond it who knows.

I'd like to just echo the majority of this post's sentiments.
Thanks for all you've done in the past Nony and we hope to see more in the future if you ever find sc2 enjoyable again, otherwise no one would blame you for not wanting to play.

People need drama to cling to... specifically to keep things interesting when their personal lives provide none of that. Its a shame progamers cant post here anymore because every response they give is like pouring a thousand gallons of gasoline onto the nerd fire.... they see you respond to someone and then think they can get an argument going with you. Sad really.

I guess it's the internet, but I'm still really disappointed at all of the folks here who don't understand clinical depression and don't seem interested in learning anything about it. Instead, they'd rather shoot their mouths off.

I don't have any advice for Tyler, I just hope he gets the help he needs to get his life back on track. Happiness is a fleeting thing for most people, and when your own brain's chemistry is working against you, it becomes a whole different fight.

I don't usually post in fan club threads, much less one of a current SC2 pro, but I've quietly admired Nony's exploits on TL, from smashing Idra in BW to fighting for the carrier.

Don't think it was coincidence that I stumbled upon the blog today. Appreciate it and hope you'll be able to deal with your depression in time.

Consider this a sign up request.

Sign me up. I would rather someone be real/genuine than meet w/e arbitrary criteria the populous has, merely for the sake of appealing to some people that can't handle things that go against their preconceived notions of how things should be. I had respect for him to begin with and have only gained some. If you think someone is being a lil bitch articulate it however you feel like. F it.

I have blindly followed you since Broodwar and your Trip to korea, your defeat of idra when coming out of retirement was one of the most baller plays I had ever seen, and when sc2 was coming around the corner, I put all my money on you to be the worlds number one toss.

Since then, you have underperformed, but w/e i knew you were having issues, i still believed that when Nony got down to buisness he would come back and show everyone how Protoss was meant to be played! Much in the way i believed in Henry, when his decline started and when Nadal's decline started.

Out of the 3 of you (you Henry and Nadal) only one has made me feel like a twat for ever thinking you were worth supporting. The nerv, that you will sit on Nazgul's team, sucking up a Salary, on team liquid, and proclaim that you arnt even TRYING to get better. I mean, lets be honest, there are players, who have fallen off, and dont have 1/100000000th of the support you got, but they still TRIED to get good again. I know you dont care about this post, but I to would like to be signed off from this fanclub.
