if i signed up for this tournament i would be thinking very differently about the rules. you can find out how a tournament is gonna go when you sign up and either agree or not. but to invite someone to a tournament and not tell them anything about it is fucked up. invite me to the tournament, give me the job of scheduling and managing all my own matches, and then when they hear im having a problem scheduling my match, replace me. yeah yeah

Comon... they relied on bumblebee to inform you of all the rules. I can understand your frustration but you can't blame IPL here. Blame bumblebee.

First off Tyler said how he feels about this , this is way out of proportion , he's not retiring he just had a bad experience with the tournament and is no longer participating, everything is over and taken care of just leave ty alone guys. No need to keep up 10 pages of drama for him who wouldn't get mad, while ROOT players have every right, keep this between root and team liquid if it's that much a problem. The community frowns on this kind of drama he is a TL sponsored player and he thought he lost bo1 and logged out period, his manager was not on , obviously this was a mistake and the flaming would cause about any person in their right mind to get mad and all he did was tell you guys his experience so just end this pointless drama war now please.

I used to follow you quite a bit in the past because I saw a really passionate player, I never cared about your results or tournaments but we all hoped for the great showing. I'm well aware of how depression has affected you over the last 2 years and I felt a connection when you where struggling even though you've never heard of me. One thing would always shine through, your passion. In the past, it was a struggle of passion and burden. Now I just see a struggle of self, and while I empathize, I don't see a passionate person anymore. Maybe you're tired or burned out, and if so you need to do something else. You can't just "get" passionate about something though and that's why I can't, in good conscience, support your continuation of SC2 at this state of time. I can't support you if you can't support yourself first. Hopefully something clicks and I see a glance of someone I once felt a connection to. If not, I understand and maybe I was never a "true" supporter. I hope you find what you're looking for, that's the most important thing to me. -neworder

Don't jump on conclusions about how Nony feels about all this based on words said on a moment of stress. It's obviously not the best words to be said but it's pretty clear he was under stress when he said them.

Sad to see things turn out like this. Would have loved to see Nony become a staple foreign star player of TL (in sc2), so they wouldn't have to rely on getting carried by talented young Korean prodigies only (I love Hero & Taeja, dont misunderstand).

I wish all those insensitive people posting in this fanclub as well as his blog would take a moment to consider the amount of pressure he is under. Not only is he suffering from his condition, but also from the burden of failed expectation and lack of results.

Nony is young, but relatively old for a progamer, so with each year that goes by and doesn't bring his break-through or at least some major improvement, the chances for him to catch up (with current and future top progamers) are diminishing. The competition is brutal and certainly wont cut him slack any time soon. It's only natural for him to get frustrated in the long run, stagnation is never fun.

You dont have to feign understanding, but at least you should show him the respect he deserves.

I hope he is able to enjoy the phases in which he doesnt suffer from his condition and wish him all the best in whatever his future endeavour may be.

First it was depression, now hes just "not trying". Just admit your washed up maybe people would respect you a little more. There's dozens of other players much more deserving of his spot on Liquid then he is.

Of course, I should've known, obviously half of TL has a psychology degree (the other half are lawyers). Why the hell this is anyone's business is beyond me. The only thing that should be happening is showing the guy a little consideration and allowing him to deal with his issues as he sees fit. If you care enough to be supportive, send him a pm, if you can't show him at least that much respect, don't even bother saying anything. Let him deal with his situation in peace.

NonY is a bw legend, his mechanics when he's at his peak are mindblowing. He has more than earned the position that he's in and he continues to contribute more to the starcraft community than 99% of the people that posted here.

I really only have one thing to add, Tylers fanclub? Sign me the fuck up.
