hope idra sees this. yea because he's going to take advice from a random comment on the internet over his own instincts and the advice of pro players that he has access to. Anywho, Idra is going to Korea soon and he has a Code A spot. Cant wait to see him tear through the GSL Has this been confirmed yet? I remember Idra saying a few mlgs ago that he wouldn't take a code A spot
Well if IdrA does see this I hope he gives it a try. I'm pretty sure he can make it work. The only reason I posted that is because I want him to succeed. Labeling me as a random kinda hurt my feelings ill get over it though

Congrats on the strong MLG finish Idra. 2-1 to a revitalized MC is nothing to be ashamed on. damn bro. You took out Hongun Bomber and Boxer. 2-1 to MKP who has some sick TvZ. It's great to see you getting back to the top. Good luck training in Korea

The context when he made that remark was completely different though. That was him speaking from a US-base. If I'm not mistaken he did recently say that when he returned to Korea he'd take GSL seriously as well and the only way to get into Code S without an MLG spot is Code A. Not that I doubt he could qualify for that on his own, as he was one of the few to always do without breaking much of a sweat and he's playing damn good. Still, why take the risk?

Yeeah.. or not, this is EG after all. They like to do the stupid hype thing. You'd think two of their players doing amazing at a pretty stacked tournament'd be enough, but nooo..

Lucky you! All those Idra-lings finally getting a chance to see their zerg hero pwn, so cool!
That series was so awesome. I think if Idra can work on dealing with early game pressure and cheese he is going to be unstoppable at MLG Providence.

Idra's current state reminds me of Jaedong. His ZvT is godlike at this point, but his ZvP is shaky, and his ZvZ is shakier.

Its pretty well agreed that the neural range nerf makes neuraling Colossi pretty much impossible.Ling infestor is really good, until the protoss makes a couple colossi with upgrades and can one shot giant chunks of your army. Not counting the effects forcefields + zealots.

IdrA had the sickest run possible. Beating who? MOTHAFRICKEN BOMBER as the LAST ZERG of the tournament. Only Zerg in top 8? That's an achievement. IdrA fighting! IdrA forever! (Hope he takes his Code A seed and thrashes that tourney like he did to IEM)
|
Congrats on a great performance! Beating Bomber is so huge, even after the win i was not able to cheer for a while, cause i was in a state of disbelief, a state of cold shiver and pure nerd orgasmation :D The first set vs Bomber is hands down the best ZvT i have seen. The second set however showed the difference between successful muta harass and unsuccessful muta harass. The third set was...i won't even talk about it. Marines will the 18th minute, nuff said.
Sucks that after all those awesome games Idra will get just 1400$.
I think that the slump is clearly over and i hope we can all expect even greater performances in the future! Go Greg!

he said it at that time when there wasnt going to be an EG house in the works. And it was during an interview as to why foreigners were rejecting the code A spot when the exchange program was first started. so i think that doesnt apply anymore

congratz on the great tournament run!

Long time lurker of the Gracken, been following him since his run in Code S in Korea. Just like to say what a thrill it is to be an Idra fan, through all the ups and downs he really does put on a brilliant show every time he plays. Although he was slumping in the past couple of months i truly believe Idra is back on top and perhaps even surpassing his former self in terms of skill and mind set. I think we could see Idra winning so many more tournaments in the future, perhaps even the covenant code S GSL . Keep it up Grack im really looking foward to seeing how far you can succeed in the years to come
|
Cheers for Idra. Love it when the cream rises to the top. Hope to see even more creative play from Idra. I think Idra is the best Zerg in the world when it comes to unit composition used as a counter to what is scoutted. I hope he considers more unorthodox play, mainly the strange low tier caveman strategies sometimes employed by Stephano, and bomber (against Sheth). The remax on shakuras with pure ling/infestor against a 3 base bomber was brilliant. The terran can't avoid fights cause his army must be out to protect the 3rd. Keep the terran defensive while getting the economic/tech advantage ftw.
