I posted Orange Caramel's "Milk Shake" and the hangul lyrics to the chorus as my FB status and a Koraen guy told me to take it off, saying that seeing that made him feel ashamed to be Korean. Reminds me that in addition to what I said and Pulselol elaborated on regarding kpop representing Korean culture, there's the fact that kpop song lyrics are often times really, really stupid. I've been told that even though I might look up a translation and come to know what a song's lyrics mean, if I actually understood what was being sung, then I'd hate most songs (and the group f(x)) with a burning passion. Throw in the random English bits and you've got yourself a hot mess of unrelated rhymes and nonsensical stanzas.

Did you see the Vice documentary on on the hunt for cosmetic perfection in Korea? Some dude says exactly the same. K-Pop is more or less the only part of Korean documentary that's gaining attention in the world and apparently a lot of people are ashamed of that.

The chorus of the new Glam song is surprisingly catchy, not too sure how much I like the verses and the 'I like that' part is pretty annoying. But overall the song was a lot better than I expected it to be.

I considered buying the APink 2013 season greeting but I think it's a little too expensive for the vague details. I don't know if it's a desk calendar (which I prefer) or if the diary is actually filled with APink goodness or not. Because I'm not actually going to use the diary...

I know there was a lot of talk earlier about how disjointed the new soshi song is- I just found this particularly amusing. Monmonsnow on YT took the effort to re-arrange the video so it doesn't go back and forth. Few parts got clipped to help the flow, but overall it's pretty clean transitions. Jus thought I'd share this =0p

Looks like I missed quite a discussion on the new snsd release. I guess people here are more passionate about kpop than I thought, lol. I didn't really have high expectations and hadn't anticipated it that much either, but here are my thoughts:

First time I watched the MV I seriously didn't know what the fuck was going on. It's quite a mess with the fx style outfits and scumbag hats. After a few listens I would say that song itself isn't much better than the MV. I guess they went for some sort of mashup concept, but whoever produced it didn't really have enough skills to pull it off. It just doesn't flow nicely. Surprisingly it ended up working really really well for their first performance. Maybe that was their main concern. They get some points for the idea but should work on the execution. Don't hate it, don't love it, won't listen much to it. It will be mighty popular and make them a fuckton of money anyways.
Edit: Oh ye, tippany parts. "ayo GG", "here comes trouble". What the fuck is that, seriously. Dumbest part of the song. Reminds me of pokemon and team rocket, rofl.
Taeyeon still flawless. That's what I care about.

New GLAM. I already said what I think after their sbs gayo daejun performance. It has some really good parts and some not that great ones, but I like it more than I though I would. Still not as good as their debut.
Btw, MV-1:11a slight dig at IU, or is it just me?

Haha, that was pretty stupid, my bad. Several sites used that picture together with the 2013 stuff and I didn't really took a close enough look to notice it. Although the concepts did seem off. ^^
Kpopmart states it's a Desk Calendar btw, for what it's worth.

So did I. I'm still not a fan of the song, but editing it so it's not a trainwreck of different sounds actually improved it quite a lot!
