no, it's more like a fanboy of the genre is convinced it's taking over the world by storm and people are telling him the genre hasn't changed much since 2000. It's like that one time BoA decided to make a debut in the US and people were saying she'd blow up there and how kpop was the wave taking over. It's not. and it will never be.

what. this year's releases were garbage.
No, not really.
yes, really. this year's releases sucked. half the shit I considered decent/good weren't even strictly kpop.

Pretty funny that you think that I think Kpop is taking the world by storm. All I say is its better than it ever has been, and more people are enjoying it than ever before. Why does everyone assume I think kpop will reach #1 on the US charts anytime soon... I mean, apart from Gangnam style lol. Try to make that distinction
Saying BoA will blow up is a prediction. Seeing the staggering amount of views Kpop videos are getting are facts. There is a difference dude
'Releases were garbage'. Don't know what to say to this really, apart from I have enjoyed pretty much every video I have seen this year. Every video is an absolute treat and pleasure, and this year has been fantastic.

As I said, no one comes close to what the Kpop world produces in their videos. They are so unique and different, and having a Kpop song as the most viewed video of all time sort of solidifies the fact that people are captivated by the Korean take on the music industry.

Kpop videos are just miles ahead of anything produced in any country anywhere in the world. The first big video released this year in Fantastic Baby set the tone for the whole year, and there have been many videos at that quality or above. In regards to Western videos, I can't think of one that can come close to Fantastic Baby, or many other videos produced by this market.
I'm pretty sure you've been spoilt by all of the wonderful personalities/videos of Kpop and can't really see through that little fog, but Kpop is still miles ahead in terms of production quality and entertainment. There is nothing else like it in the world. Countries watch in awe as they see dance moves executed to perfection, amazing sets and production quality out of this world.
In this day and age, I'm confident that Kpop is the greatest mainstream entertainment being produced
B. a lot of those views are from scripts run by the companies, and views != enjoyment. A lot of people have seen Baby Baby on yt but that doesn't mean they favor the music Bieber makes. C. you enjoy everything related to genre, hence the term fanboy
A- I don't get it T_T B- What are scripts lol. and yeah views do indicate enjoyment, but #1 on iTunes in many countries, being nominated for person of the year and performing at American Music awards and countless television shows also contribute (Assuming we are talking about PSY here) C- I have to say that is virtually true. Although I absolutely hate live non-lip synced performances, and there are a few Kpop songs which I don't like, but yeah for the most part I have enjoyed almost all MV's I've seen

Kpop isn't taking the world by storm or anything like that, that however doesn't mean its bigger than ever.
Scripts are basically bots ran to give the videos youtube views.
wow, had no idea those things existed. So is it possible that most of the views in gangnam style are from bots and that it is not really viral in the true sense?
It is viral in the sense that it has thousands of covers and "everybody" knows it, I don't think you can really know if or how many views might be fake but I would argue that it didn't need fake views, at least after a certain point of time

Lol, no. Youtube wouldn't ever let that happen. Views are like currency for Youtube and advertisers. Also, Youtube has an algorithm to track real views so every view isn't registered as a view. That algorithm is the reason why views always stop at 300.

You laughing at that statement is hilarious. I'm pretty sure in terms of revenue and global influence it may well be the greatest year so far. Are you referring to this criteria, or other forms such as quality of music?

Its not the first time I've seen someone say this. What proof do you have that the majority of views are from scripts by companies?
T-Ara T__T. Whats wrong with the crowd, so quiet lol. Tho I have to admit their performance was not really that lively? Maybe because of the xmas music?
Any chance I could know the guy in the Hello Venus MV? He seems weirdly familiar. Song is overall okay, nice song and I hope they have a good promotion with it.
