After rereading my post I sounded harsher than I meant. When I said racism I didn't mean the malicious type. It's just that Korean/Chinese girls are really hard to convince to dance in a setting like that. They prefer not to mingle outside of their own cultures when they don't have to, whereas other cultures can be more open minded.
I know what you mean. Just feel a bit bad for you since you have to meet those type of people. The good ones are fucking fantastic friends so.
Some koreans don't like to associate with non koreans but others have no problem doing so. Really depends in how they were brought up and where they are from. Glad you had a good time tho and met someone who was into kpop as well.

I just came back from studying in Beijing for a semester and met lots of Korean, Chinese and Japanese people. You're spot on with it depends how they were bought up. Some Koreans were more than happy to chat and make friends and others were snobs from snobsville. As long as you're not all "OH SHIT I KNOW KPOP TOO LETZ B FRIENDZ" which I don't think anyone in this thread would do then you should be okay to string up a conversation.
Nanashin is streaming Do Dream right now, Nicole and Gyuri are going to be on it. They are going to talk about the hardships of being idols.
Gyuri talked about a entertainment company told her and her parents that she would need to get plastic surgery to debut as a singer and how that affected her and made her sad that they said that in front of her parents.
Nicole talked about how she developed a phobia to variety shows while promoting in Japan because she was learning Japanese through Korean, a language she does not yet master.

with some of my fellow caucasian friends if anyone remembers my first experience I wrote about. My friend runs a car photography business and had 12 cars coming to the club (mostly Masarati/Ferarri/Aston/Rolls and 1 Veyron). Because it was sort of his event he got us a VIP lounge and tables this time as well as free drinks/tables which was pretty sweet.
I'm pretty beta compared to most of my friends so I was a bit shy, especially since it's a really fob crowd and everyone is rich, or at least pretending to be. My friends basically threw me out on the packed dance floor and into some girls, I had some seriously horrible conversations with these 2 japanese girls on vacation named Eri and Asa. A blessing and a curse, because I had absolutely NO game, but it took 5 minutes to understand a simple broken english sentence in a loud club.
After grinding for a bit and a few more drinks they pulled out the damn kpop so I went back onto the dance floor willingly. Being an almost entirely asian club everybody went nuts as Fantastic Baby came on.. I was one of two white people dancing/singing along (my friends thought I was the biggest fag but they know I like Kpop so fuck it). The other was a white girl, the only one there. She was a 6/10, but a pretty nice body and she was mouthing the words to Bigbang so I knew I had something to initiate conversation with. I awkwardly danced through the crowd towards her and built up the courage to talk to her. Right as I did, 2ne1 - I'm the best dropped... club went insane again. We both immediately started mouthing the words and dancing like crazy, nothing really sexual and not even grinding, but it was the most fun I had all night. Each song that kept coming on was more kpop, giving us a lot to talk about.
They continued the set, the songs I specifically remember being played where GD & Top - Knockout, Shinee - RingDing, 2ne1 - Please dont go (mixed in with some other song but omg this blew my mind, as it's not a really popular song but one of my all time favourites from 2ne1), F(x) -Electric Shock (the entire club fucking lost it again at this one) and some other club type tracks.
The racism was pretty bad again this time, especially from the Korean girls. Korean girls straight up hate white dudes. They are snobby bitches that won't dance with you unless you're rich or a knockout. Preferrably both. I'm generalizing and there is obviously exception, but that's my experience so far. Chinese girls are better but not great. Japanese girls are good, but only because they are just as outcast as white people at the club. If someone did a pie chart of the guests I'd say 40% korean, 40% chinese, 15% other (philipino/thai/viet/japanese), 5% white.
My one friend (the most attractive in our group) had a chinese girl who he was trying to take home with him. She was totally willing until she found out he was only 21 and she was 23. Apparently age is a dealbreaker for asians or something, we were pretty surprised how fast her mood changed. I got the white girls number and her name, turns out she was a club promoter or something. I probably won't call her cause I'm beta and she lives downtown which might as well be long distance.
Anyways, this was a long, slightly buzzed and semi-blogish wall of text.
TLDR: Went to club, played kpop, met white chick who also happened to know kpop, good times had, asians don't like white dudes much.
Honestly, we (Netherlands) don't have 99% asian clubs but asian parties, they don't do Kpop or asian music >< Closest you ever get is Far East Movement ^^ Been to quite a few and I think I've only heard Mr Simple once.

If it's Younha and high quality I absolutely want it
I think the fact that the asian girls bothered to move to America usually means they also grew up there in this American sort of culture etc maybe? Hm but the asian girls also bothered to move to Europe? Maybe it's that they're in Europe on vacation but generally intend on staying in America for an extended period of time etc.
